yep - Don't but the GTECH - I have had one for 4 years and its been changed out 5 times ( fortunately I took the free 5 year warranty) there is a design flaw and the drive gear keeps failing , Also no hose attachment , brush prone to clogging up very quickly which you must keep clean or it will compound the stress on the gear which will fail even quicker - be warned . On the plus points - its very light and every time I send it back - I get sent a new one with a spare battery & charger - simples !
I would go for the Dyson even though they have their inherit problems too .... loss of suction over time

I've still not received any order confirmation from Dyson so I've just phoned them
Because their system was overwhelmed, orders placed on Friday are in a "catch up" queue and may not be confirmed and dispatched 'till Tuesday or Wednesday
If there's any problem with the order Dyson will still honour this price if you have to re-order

Damn hotukdeals I have bought something again I don't really need lol. Actually this is a very good price was thinking about getting the dc30 a while back but glad I didn't as it sounds like the dc34 is a lot better. Order at about 8pm this morning but still no confirmation email but the web did say it might take a while. This Black Friday carry on seems if morphed into a Black Friday week. It's a pity asda have stopped doing Black Friday was a good laugh watching the cctv footage of the punch ups over a telly

Agree with previous comment about the incorrect price on the dyson website! Ordered from tesco at £99.99 with free delivery to local tesco expres just what my daughter wanted as she loves mine which so far is working great. Battery time is adequate. Convenience is it's major advantage.

I bought a Dyson upright to replace my cylinder and it's a nightmare for the stairs and little jobs upstairs and even around the kitchen. Fab for a deep clean but I really want this handheld for the stairs, dusting and everyday spills. Each to their own though.
