It is not a Hoover it is a Dyson. Both are Vacuum Cleaners.

Get an upright vaccuum, these really Burt your back after a while. You tend to end up bending over an idd way while using them.

I find these better for my back compared to the upright because the hose/wand weighs so little compared to pushing an entire machine around. I prefer the upright for suction on carpets, but cylinder for wood. Must just be down to personal preference!

FYI, dyson sell these for £330 on their own site. This price is a steal.
I use a Henry at work and a Dyson at home. The Dyson is way way better. When we got sold the Henry from Currys the said you actually don't need a vacuum cleaner to clean throughly for work. I didn't understand it but now I do. I must admit the Henry can take a thumping like the do at work. The Dyson works well but do need a filter clean every six months or so as it deep cleans the carpets. Hope that helps

If you have carpet be ready for spend extra 50 quid on another head. Hard work to pick up clothes bobbles. Suction power must be below half otherwise not able to move it. No issues on hard floor.

Choose your vacuum depending on your flooring. Mainly carpet? Then get an upright with a belt driven brush to agitate the pile. If you have mainly hard floors go for a cylinder cleaner. Miele and Sebo suck the most, in the best way possible.

Thanks OP. Purchased one of these today, our Miele is still working but has seen better days. Good price for a Dyson with the musclehead tool, first impressions favourable, it is light and easy to use, reasonably quiet. Build doesn't seem as sturdy as the Miele, difficult to say what the reliability in long term use will be. Price seems good, voted hot.

just picked this up for 160 using £20 off voucher and club card vouchers at Tesco direct ....lovely little hoover and very good suction....much better than the wife :wink:
