Received my new phone ( thanks OP) and well chuffed with it.
Only problem I have is that I can't get o2 Priority app to work - it just says this app is not available with your operator - which is weird as there is a o2 sim card in slot one and the other is empty.
Anyone else had this please?

Don't know why anyone uses gearbest, they get loads of negative comments whenever anyone posts a deal for them, and yet loads still buy, you can usually find the stuff for a little more on ebay or aliexpress where at least you are covered if it doesn't arrive.

One has to make their mistakes themselves... I rarely track a deal on this site to the point where this sort of feedback gets a chance to come through, so was blissfully unaware of their unsavoury practices. I too join the ranks of victims buying product they don't have, and it seems will now have to fight for a refund...

Sounds like a blessing - phone I would be happy with but I would never use the charger due to the shock and fire risk. (CE = "Chinese Export", i.e. nothing).

Had a charger missing from a gearbest order and replacement has been a nightmare, just a lot of runaround messages from them. Another item posted from China when I paid (extra) for EU warehouse and taking 3 weeks already for delivery, won't make it by Christmas I fear. Their customer support is a joke. Was so happy with them before but their service seems to be going down rapidly. Only using UK shops from now on.

Bought something off of them recently where it's been stuck at a depot since 17th November, and after 3 weeks of putting me off, they told me this week it's lost in transit and want to charge me $25 if I want my order re-sent.
About to file a PayPal dispute.

Cheers Vassy for your reply ... I have read the specs on a couple of different websites but with two different results 1 stating micro sim and another site saying it takes both  ...
If anybody has had or has got one of these phones could please confirm as to what size Sim cards it actually takes it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I don't mind long delivery times but even buying from the EU warehouse won't help if the item develops a fault. If you are happy with zero warranty and to just throw stuff in the bin, then OK. But if you do that with just a few items then suddenly they don't seem so cheap.

Maybe try reinstalling the rom again Wayne, using one flat out and battery life is lasting/charging
as good as our s6's and think the DGx5 lasts a bit longer than our Pro ones..
Be interesting to see how you first used the phone/battery compared to most who just chuck it on
charge for a hour and then use it and expect it to last 3 days!!
Use "Advanced Task Manager" on it with autokill/autostartup/autorelease running and that will
save you buddles of "minecraft" hours
For the record, i take back my comments about fighting for a refund, I've been refunded the full amount without any hassle. Happy days.

Yes, I've done all that - not sure what you mean about manual and automatic. Essentially it can't see as many networks as another (branded) device and when it can the signal is much weaker to the point where it struggles to associate with the network. The updating was difficult enough as I couldn't get signal in the office and had to bring it home to download the updates.

got it last september october time used an app called 'prices in china ' got from everbuying was on offer for a week they take ages to arrive and everytime there is a forum on here they go out of stock quickly hence delay in processing lol  but got it eventually took about 5 weeks to arrive

I bought an X5 Pro out of curiosity but I seem to suffer from weak WiFi during testing, anyone else have that? The rest of the phone is great value, can't complain but WiFi is a big deal.

Did you try updating the software? Guess there is some WiFi signal mode which you got to change it manually than allowing it to be automatic.

Which version? Heard people mention its better than moto g2

I upgraded from a Moto G and this phone is a lot better but its was the original moto g not 2nd or 3rd generation. The main weaknesses of the x5 is weak camera's and a slightly thicker/bulkier case than some of its competitors. Great screen, latest os, fast operation.
Tried a dreamcast emulator on it and was running a 3d buggy game on it at practically full speed which I didn't expect. I find the dual sim sockets really useful and android 5 has full support for dual sims too.

Got the X5 Pro 4g one for my daughters birthday on Thursday, great phone for the money, camera not as good as moto g but otherwise seems great, and three updates straight away so good to see supported unlike some Chinese manufacturers. Unfortunately daughter thinks it's too big (glad I only got a cheap one, difficult to get a decent one less than 5" for sensible price ) so I'll be selling it + case + spare screen protector for £55 Inc postage. Will create separate listing. Really for the money though, and the fact they make a profit too at this price, it's incredible value and shows how much we are being ripped off for apples or samsung etc.. PS Sold..

I bought the X5 Pro from Banggood EU for about £48. I think it is way better than anything you should expect for £50. Full 4g coverage, the screen is nice and bright with excellent viewing angles, performance seems good. Yes it is a plasticky brick, but for the price. Very impressed that it has had several OTA upgrades in the couple of weeks that I have had it. I bought it as a spare/utility phone, my daily driver is LG G3. Well impressed with Doogee, I was expecting a pile of the steaming stuff, but I would definitely buy again.

Really don't bother, I ordered this on 4th December from Gearbest (before the last rush started) and its still not even gone past processing. I've just Ordered the Pro from todays deal on Banggood (EU Warehouse) in the hope it will appear before Christmas.
I now have an uphill fight (From past experience of Gearbest) to get my money back. I predict - "please wait one week more", or "The Item has shipped" (With a tracking number provided about 3 weeks later) or many other things like my ticket just being ignored. I'm a fan of Chinese sites and understand the risks etc, but things like this really do make me loath to use this particular site again.
