Correct - This includes the base game, both expansion packs (Dark Below, House of Wolves) and the larger expansion (The Taken King)
No issues with starting the game late, it currently maxes out at level 40, but this can be reached quickly and a lot of the content is accessible before that (The first two raids, for example).
If someone recommends you, you will also get access to a "refer-a-friend" style set of missions that are designed to help you through (I will be happy to help with this if you wish .... I wont lie, I will get a new sparrow ship and sword for my troubles lol).

This includes everything released so far correct?
Only just brought a PS4 over Black Friday, so haven't read that much into this game
How does this game play like?
MMO FPS?
And is it hard to start this game so late?

It's an FPS with a standard online FPS structure (single player and co-op levels, PVP options etc) but with the MMO elements of loot drops, levelling, classes, and seeing other players going about their business when you're playing on your own.
There are 'hubs' where you can see other players moving about, but it's mostly an aesthetic thing. You can't do trades and interact in the way you can with an MMO.
It's fantastic IMO... by not being a fully-fledged MMO, it's actually way more forgiving when it comes to keeping up with other players. Leveling isn't a chore, and you'll find yourself gaining a ton of experience just from doing the main questline

Anyone tell me please what the total space needed is for install on this including the DLC? I had the base game at launch but got bored quickly. Might go back at this price but my HDD is practically full and there's not many games I want to uninstall just yet.

I did get the ghost edition, I had been a fan since the beta. And when the Taken king came out there was no cheap DLC add on price. I don't mind though, a lesson well learned.

If anyone is a new player on PS4 (less than 7 days played on Taken King) and you'd like a referral for extra gear and missions, please PM me either on HUKD or on PSN (Adam_Harvey). I try to play every day but, you know, life sometimes gets in the way...

Thanks sniperpenguin and eddeddeddedd for the info
Always thought it was more MMO, as I keep reading about weapon drops, and weapon upgrades on gaming sites
Thinking about it, I'll pass, too many games to play
Think I only touched COD for 10mins

Worth mentioning that if you go through to Rakuten on TopCashback, you get 6.3% cashback on all online purchases as well as the 10% off - it's is a good deal.
I bought this from Simply Games yesterday for £23.95 so not even arrived yet... Wouldn't bother sending it back usually, but thing is I've got £45 Rakuten points sitting there from buying a third  PS4 a couple of weeks ago, so would rather buy there even without the fact it's a fair bit cheaper. Anyone had any experience returning things to Simply Games?

You don't need PS+ for all aspects of the game. PS+ is only necessary for the activities that involve being in a team

I don't play anymore, theres nothing new to do, you just replay the same content over and over. They made older stuff redundant. I had fun while it lasted but don't think I would be spending anymore money on DLC, thats it for me.

If you don't have 6 people to play this game with, it's a bit pointless as there's no in game matchmaking for the important stuff like Raids and Trials. So you either don't play it, or scour the internet for some random strangers.
Not a half bad price for the amount of content you get for the price, although personally i hate the route Bungie has taken for this game.
