I own this. Good printer but not the sharpest of prints. Also having trouble using AirPrint but I think that's a bug with my BT router and bonjour. Works fine with android devices. Good price after cash back too.
I saw this and pointed out to them that they have ignored a clause in the CB terms. Dell won't give you more than 50% of your purchase price back so the max cashback is £68.99 making the final cost £69.00. To give them credit its only an issue as eBuyer have such a low price on it in the first place.

How much toner cost for that beast?
jh787 to lucyferror
7 Dec 151#8
They are expensive.
Cheapest I can find is £55.
Only thing putting me off buying... Need a full duplex but the toners need to be cheaper.
Any alternatives?

I purchased Epson Wf3620 using bespoke offers for like £50. Ink is a lot cheaper and has duplex. Bespoke shut down now so will cost a lot more

Your printer is an inkjet. The ink cartridges will typically last 300-500 pages. In addition, head cleaning or dried head will waste a large amount of ink. A laser like this one will typically have toners that last 3000-5000 pages and there is no waste due to head cleaning and dried ink, As far as running cost are concerned your inkjet is likely to be many time more expensive than a laser.
Your inkjet has two benefits: it has colour, it is smaller.

Got one 10 days ago, decent quality, fast printing and quiet. The only thing is that it is very hard to set up. Its too complicated and lack of any instruction. The printer is not working well with OSX 10.11 El Capitan, scanning function is very unstable. Waiting for an update.

The cashback runs to end Jan in the uk so might be worth waiting until the Jan sales start
and a slightly lower price is obtainable ;-)

I bought a similar model recently. The most annoying thing is that it's USB 2.0 and crashes if you put in a USB 3.0 stick. I use USB sticks for

(In fact I bought this model). It is buggy and has crashed several times in the 3 weeks I've had it. It prints okay at 600dpi. The usb2 issue is the most annoying thing for me.

Is there a way to get it higher than 600dpi? I read something about enhancement but cant find the option to enable this.

re: Toner Cartridges. This is quite a large medium volume office printer so the cartridges are large. There is a small 3000 page (the starter cart is this size) 593-BBBI and a high capacity 10000 page alternative 593-BBBJ. Checking a random printer specialist (printerland) these are £64 and £156 respectively. By comparison most SOHO lasers come with 1000/1200 size carts with 2500 being high capacity. I've seen a few compact printers this week with 700 page count carts. eBay shows lambdatek at £64/£127 for the Dells. No compatibles showing on eBay but cartridge sites showing the large compatibles at ~£75. The carts only fit this model and its variants: B2375*** NB: All page counts are ISO and may bear little resemblance to real pages.

re: Print Quality. Its a 600x600 unit, as are all printers below £300 street price, and 1200 is scarce after that. Or buy an inkjet.... Many devices have some tweaks to stretch a bit more resolution out of them. eg. Brother printers talk about using 2-bits per pixel and stretching/moving/sizing the dots. Some talk about getting 2400x600 in hardware and say that's sort of 1200x1200. These enhanced modes increase the print file sizes and slow the printer down, and can't really make up for limited imaging dots and the physical size of the toner dust. There are some claims that OEM toner can give higher and more consistent results, but its pricey.
@tom6159: There is an option in the print preferences dialog according to page 159 of the User Manual. Preferences/Graphics/Quality/Best. YMMV.

Wouldn't ebuyer have to cover the rest since its says £75 cashback on the site in offer section and it says £62.99 after cashback in the title?

No, cash back is 1) neither guaranteed, b) given by eBuyer.

Never in the field of simple human error has that emoji been so appropriate. Literally had me sniggering for minutes after, but close to my heart having almost ordered a mono printer last year mistaking it for colour. Epic.

They've INCREASED the price to fix the price vs maximum cashback anomaly. Its a fix led by marketing & simplicity so they can show the greatest saving.... So its now £149.99, with CB reducing it to £74.99. That's still a good price. I believe someone quoted TopCashBack or QuidCo available too.
