Costco! Just under a kilo for around £6 and really nice beans. I have the one with the lcd display and I love it. You soon learn to appreciate different beans. I made the mistake of buying cheap beans from Tesco and the coffee was hideous.

I buy they Starbucks espresso blend when it's on offer for £2.50 a bag as you can use the empty bag to get a free tall latte...!

I am using Delonghi bean to cup machine (different model though) for 4 years now with no faults whatsoever, and tested probably all beans available in supermarkets. The best for me is Tesco Finest Java Sumatra coffee - strong and MILES better than all these "premium" lavazza, illy etc.
Please note I am really coffee addicted person and this is my best one regardless of the price.

I bought this machine on a previous deal and it died after 3 months. The coffee it produces is nowhere near as good as good as a stove pot espresso though it's quicker. Must get around to getting it repaired.

Recently bought a bean to cup (Primadonna S) durect from Delonghi on Black Friday. It came with milk jug missing & coffee dispensing spout broken off. Delonghi have been terrible to arrange repair, still not confirmed collection date, no offer of a sweetener, no real apology and still have the broken machine at home. So far they have been a shambles. Howveer, I don't want to cancel and get money back as the 'deal' was good and can't be matched if looking elsewhere. This deal is good though bearing in mind it's not direct from Delonghi - however, hope it doesn't go wrong!

As a previous poster mentioned, as long as there's basic maintenance.
these machines are outstanding. I own a predecessor to this model (still sold in Germany) - it's over 10 yrs old and runs like new, 000's of coffees.
I nearly binned mine a couple of months back when it started to dump used coffee grinds in the wrong place - 'til that is, I read a review on German Amazon.de describing exact same problem and solution. So for those who think their machine's finally had it, go and buy the silcone O ring kit c/w food-grade silicon grease and your machine will run like new again! (cause: hardened O rings = more friction / confused machine) btw its an easy fix.

Bought this 2 years ago similar price - still going strong - though 3 year warranty
Makes lovely coffee - all creamy
Silly point but if ever you find you clean it and it seems stuck - turn off at back, unplug and replug and turn on at back so it resets position again :smiley:

Don't want to tempt fate, but we've had the older EASM2600 for a few years now and used it pretty much every morning without issue. Love the coffee it makes, very easy to clean (requires de-scaling solution every couple of months) and well, no complaints really. Oh, actually the steamer is a bit slow to heat milk and so we don't use it that often - the odd latte treat :smiley:

Where were you 3 months ago!! Nearly cried because I thought I'd broken it when I couldn't get the diffuser back in! Not sure what happened there but it wasn't in its proper position. But its been fine apart from that one time.

I went through two of these in 18 months then Amazon refunded me. Only just about made a half-decent espresso too. My Melitta is much better, but it should be for an extra £150.
