Good power supply for the price, they seem to be running out in store. I checked my 7 local stores and they were all out of stock, closest store was 35 miles away so ordered it online. Amazon were matching yesterday but they seem to have ended the offer.
perhaps EVGA but not XFX in my experience. I have a pro750w black edition and I can definitely hear it. It also has a really noticeable and annoying coil whine when you shut down but don't turn the psu off from the back (from what I understand all PSUs built from seasonic parts have this).... ALSO the '5 year warranty' they advertise ***ON THE BOX*** doesn't apply to the EU and only for US and Canadian customers.
Therefore perhaps go EVGA or some other respected brand of PSU.

Good power supply, going strong for a year and a bit. Only downside is there's soo many cables. Cable tidy is a nightmare with this

Here's a few that I'd recommend over anything in the Corsair 'CX' range. Some of these I've installed and got good feedback from, best to check websites daily to get the best daily deal prices but all are around the £60-70 mark:
Budget Channel Well Technology PSU with a Corsair rebranded logo slapped on it. Early versions were prone to coil whine after they'd been on for a short period of time and were known to fail well short of their warranty period. OK for a basic build but if you shop around you can find a much better PSU for around a similar price.

Please let me which are better because I am doing another build and would rather use a better one. It needs to be under 60 quid including delivery. Total build cost on pc is 600.

couldnt agree more. I had an ax860i which kept switching off. switched to an evga s2 and my PC has been on 24/7 without fail for over 6 months now.

That list is also surprisingly accurate. I had a CX PSU for my first build when I was a noob - People ranted and raved about how Corsair was this Corsair was that, all highly recommended. Failed after a year.
Found that list and went for a tier 1 EVGA Supernova 850W - Been a fair while now and all is good, it's pretty much silent.
Amazon gone back up to £70 but still available from PC World with free delivery. Hot from me.

I am just doing my first build! Although its more of a full upgrade, moving all the old parts over from old machine to new case, then upgrade PSU followed by graphics card, then motherboard + processor and then hard drive to a static drive.

Depending on what parts you are getting, I'd go for a lower but higher quality psu. The corsair cx range are ok but budget, you can get better
