I was asked by another member what stand I bought for PS4 that is cheap and has cooling, so thought I'd make a post for everyone in case its useful.
I picked this seller as you can also pick it up from Argos, however if you are prepared to wait other sellers sell the same one from £1.24 upwards (but you will have to wait for it to come from China etc).

Thanks for the info and for posting this deal. For some reason, I never thought to check eBay before I saw this, so I probably would've ended up paying a fair bit more. Even if it does make my console noisier, I won't be too bothered about leaving it unused with it being this cheap.
Also, is anyone else having problems with the swipe to go back feature in the app? I can't count the amount of comments I've either had to retype or just ended up leaving after accidentally deleting them when scrolling to check for spelling errors.

got this, bought it years ago and it's so effective and subtle I forgot I was using it... which is a bit annoying as I just bought the one with controller chargers on it...

Hehe, you bought one because you forgot you had one? That's kinda funny (not in a I'm laughing at you way), just that it means it really does do the job kinda thing....and when something works you do kinda forget about it. Thanks for the post here anyway, hopefully it'll give others confidence who might think its too cheapto be of any quality.

Having it horizontal is best if possible, but these ones are so small (depth wise) that they don't really cause a lot of obstruction and the vents do allow some air circulation. I have one of these and it doesn't make the console any hotter like some of the more expensive stands (but less well designed I might add), and haven't noticed any more noise generation. But like anything, its all about personal preference. I don't like posting something if I have no personal experience of said product if that helps

No problem :smiley: I'm getting a white console for Christmas, so was thinking about getting one of these. I'm just a bit concerned about temps and noise. Don't they make the console run hotter and louder?

This looks like the same one. It's 1p more expensive, but it's available in white and uses 1st class postage.

Its passive cooling, so meant cooling element to the design but I thought that would be obvious from the design to be fair. No worries though, unlike other designs this one has open vents on the bottom and its slightly raised to allow air to circulate underneath it. Rather than being wedged into a closed stand like others which are available. I used this stand too so can say that it doesn't cause a heat build up by being enclosed in a non ventilated bottom and if anything, provides the ability for slightly more air to circulate than standing on its own.
