A new improved gaming rig for around the same price as my last post but losing the ssd drive in favour of a GTX 970 and an improved i5 skylake processor. I reckon I could install an sad myself at some point. And that 3 year warranty on all costs.
Now I don't know if this is a mistake as it seems very cheap to me, I am going to purchase this machine I think, but I keep thinking Im going to miss out on a better deal.
Anyway lets see what you think, I think its a deal myself.

It would still be a good price with a GTX 960, but with a 970 it can't be true. And the 3.6GHz i5 CPU can only be the Intel Core i5-6600K.

If you go to the customise section and select a GTX 960, you have to add and extra £5... I'm guessing what went wrong here is that they mispriced the GTX 970.

Looks like a decent rig, However as most of these cheap custom builds go, They use unreliable PSU that can make a PC more or less crash & burn. Not to mention the un-named motherboards which are most likely cheap and may even bottleneck some "high end" components that they use to draw people into buying it.

They have more than one on sale though, all the items listed by them have been mispriced by the look of it.
They have a lot of different prices for the same item though I have sent it for £632 just now relisted. So always check there other listings first if you buy from them.
Danjw91
2 Dec 15#52
Surely if you bought it they have to sell it to you for that price unless you agree to the cancellation of it due to it being a selling site. Otherwise people who put stuff up could always say "I ain't selling it for that as it didn't make the price I wanted it to"
frakison to Danjw91
2 Dec 151#56
I've had a few winning bids cancelled due to the item not reaching the price point, why would they be any different? Most retailers protect themselves with T&C that state contract is formed on DESPATCH, i.e when they cant do anything about it!!! This argument pops up EVERY time, think about it, if it was YOUR business, would you honour a genuine price error if it put you £1,000s out of pocket?? :smirk:
QuickProfits

"The 960 by a fair margin the extra 2GB of video memory doesn't help as far as the graphics horsepower available from the 960, on the other hand a 380 would be a better option due to the similar performance to the 960 and the larger frame buffer."

Hi, If you would like to drop us a message through eBay we would be able to check how the order has come through on our end and what parts should be in that system. as it was an incorrect listing it is possible that something has gotten mixed up along the way but if this is the case we will do our best to sort this out!

Hi Sam, Nothing got mixed up, so don't throw a GTX 960 and think i won't notice (or accept) it.
It will cost you more to collect the PC and replace the parts and then send it back to me,
the only mix up was the price, not the spec.
It doesn't matter how it came through on the system, you should be building it based on my order sheet "from eBay"
If it doesn't match the spec you sold it, then I'm afraid you will have mis sold me.
I plan to take you to court, win my case, and file for damages and loss of earnings and time, buy your company with my Judgment.
I will then Build the computer to the correct spec, fulfil my own order.... (not any of the others.)
Deliver the computer to myself, and i will then sell you your own business back for £544
Don't say i haven't warned you CCL !

"Cancel a transaction
When you need to cancel a transaction, it's a good practice to first let the buyer know you're canceling it and why.
You can cancel a transaction:
Up to 30 days after the sale
Even if your buyer has already paid for the item"
Fair play to them if they do honour the order, but if you were in there shoes would you risk your companies financial stability when you don't have to? I'm sure we all knew the deal was too good to be true.

I think that you need to check your facts. If it was a shop, then yes, contract is formed when cash changes hands, but as far as I'm aware ONLINE CONTRACTS are usually formed on despatch. This is usually clearly expressed within the T&C of the company and as such is totally legal. They basically say that until it's been sent out, i.e when it's too late for them to do anything, it can be cancelled. This is mainly due to too many etailers getting stung by price errors, if you feel that I'm wrong, feel free to take a case to court....
frakison to Proveright
5 Dec 15#86
A quick look on their website and their T&C reveals this:
3.4. Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on dispatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.
3.5. Errors and omissions are excepted. Images are for illustrative purposes only
I think that proves my point, feel free to try your theory, but you're wrong!!

I am really p****d off with this company.
I placed an order over a week ago which had a delivery date for this week. I called on the day I expected it to be told it was delayed a day and I should receive it the following. I did not get a dispatch email so chased again, the story this time is that it hasn't even been built as they are awaiting stock.
I'm starting to worry now at the build quality and can see upset on xmas morning. Im not too techy so can only check it powers up etc but other than that I have to trust it works ok.
Takes forever to get through on the phone and they seem so uninterested when you finally speak to them. They don't answer ebay messages or emails either.

I don't work for CCL but I think that you have to bear in mind that they will most likely be experiencing a higher than usual demand, the chance are that they are just busy meeting orders. Just keep trying to contact them, I'm sure it will all be fine, although I do sympathise with your sense of panic!!

4 Dec 15#85
But.... it's not been despatched!! They are perfectly within their rights to cancel and return your money. This has been covered time after time after time on here, no one ever wins unless the company decides to honour the price error, which is what this is. By all means try it on, I would, but if they stand by the cancellation, accept it and move on, it's less painful

Those who ordered and had it cancelled had a lucky escape imo.
I mentioned last week that I was awaiting an order which had passed the delivery date and I was told different stories about waiting for parts to that its not even started build:(
I received it last week and after assurances that they test all pcs before despatch I decided to check. It had been built into a case where the hdmi port from the graphics card wasn't accessible so I could not plug to monitor. Tried a few things over the phone and was then told to pack it up to return.
I returned early last week and was told it would be back in a couple of days, no communication so I called today to be told they had not started working on it yet due to so many returns.
This is an xmas gift obviously and i ordered with plenty of time to spare but I am still in a panic.
I could not recommend at all, I think they have taken way too many orders and they are still advertising on ebay.
Gutted how this has turned out to say the least and my order was not one of the price errors, just a normal ebay sale.
