You beat me too it!! She was very sure that this was champagne to which they usually spend £30 a bottle x 10 on champagne for Xmas day. So huge savings.

Went to Aldi this morning at 7am. They were completely unprepared for anything. Very little meat out, 29p veg depleted from yesterday. Lacklustre staff topping up stock at the pace of a half dead slug! Very suprised and unimpressed tbh.
Also no cava at mine, but thinking about it, was probably out the back :smirk:

No prosecco in mine.
Sainsburys in Truro was bare for fruit and veg, empty crates all over the place. Think the masses thought all shops were closed and filled their boots already.

LOL! If you got up early to shop, you would probably feel the same as I did. No chicken, no lamb, no eggs and no Cava clearly! Who wants to shop first thing when the place looks like it has been ravaged by locusts. I didn't complain to anyone of note, apart from you guys(!) I just observed it in passing and have commented here.

This was on the shelves at the normal price (around £4.80) so I decided to only get one to try it, but I asked them to check the price at the till and it was £3.89 so I got 5 more. Lovely stuff btw.
