Same thing has happened to me. Received e-mail on Saturday stating that order would be cancelled as this was an out of stock, end of line product. My complaint e-mail to customer service is yet to be acknowledged or replied to. Clearly a case of Currys not wanting to be at a financial loss by replenishing stock to fulfil orders. Very disappointed.

I am currently in the process of exchanging it for the sony as200vr
really long winded process . Apparently buy again and they will in turn either issue a cheque or get the finance department to do a BACS transfer . Got the call back and was issued with the complaint reference . So hopefully nothing will go wrong ( touch wood )

I agree with the negative comments. i bought a Canon HF R67 when the offer first appeared. No Camcorder arrived so after a week I contacted Currys Customer Service by email. They emailed me back to inform me that it was on its way and would be delivered any day. I waited another week then I emailed Currys Customer Service again. I received an acknowledgement that they had received my email but I did not receive a reply. I then sent a follow-up email asking for a progress update and Currys Customers Services reported that the item was not in stock and that my order would not be fulfilled. They asked me to contact their telephone support to request a refund at 5 pence per minute call charge and with at least a 15 minute wait time for a response. Their customer support is poor to say the least.

I hate Currys. Ordered a toaster online for collection. Waited for 15 minutes in the queue to be told they did not have stock. Complete bunch of muppets

same here, appalling customer service, now camera, no refund after 14 days and 2 angry emails later I get a phone call. Just think how many customers paid and never received their camera.

I've had exactly the same issue, however they never sent me an email to confirm that my order was cancelled.
Called them, told they had no stock. Asked for a call back from management and they haven't bothered to call me. Lodged a complaint, again I was told I would get a call back, no call.
Simply the worst customer service I had ever received. And they're getting away with this with no comeback. Sickening stuff.

Ordered mine on Black Friday and received an email the day after to say that my order would probably be available to collect from my local store on the 5th December but to await email confirmation. That day came and went with no contact so I emailed them.........no response. I paid my local store a personal visit yesterday only to be told that they had no stock left and that they would have to cancel the order. To say I'm unhappy is an understatement. Appalling customer service from Currys, I won't be using them again.

Ordered soon after the deal was posted. Hadn't heard anything after a week so sent an email but never got a response. Finally had to ring up and after waiting nearly 40 minutes on hold I was told that they had no indication of when they would get more stock in, so I had to get a refund.
Not happy with Currys - terrible customer service overall.

Got email response saying the delivery may not be made in time, which i didn't mind it being late
Emailed yesterday(07/12) for an update
Got a response today saying the item is 'end of line' and to call them up for a refund.
Out of order - could have kept an eye out for something else if i knew it wasn't coming.

phoned and apparently will replace with any camcorder within 30 - 40 pounds . Not really happy as missed a few things over that weekend so will look about and phone again tomorrow

I've just contacted Curry's regarding my order which was placed on 27th Nov and this is what they have said.
"Unfortunately this item has now been discontinued and is no longer available for order and therefore we will need to issue you a refund". I said this is unacceptable as the money has already been taken and I have not been notified of this development 10 days later. I have asked to speak to a manager as this is now a complaint, Manager is called Jenny, she is due to call me later today. Anyone who hasn't got their's I suggest contacting Curry's and raising a complaint especially now that some people seem to have received their order.
