Beware the spec on this is wrong if it has a Z3735g cpu it has only 1gb ram. It needs to be the Z3735f for 2gb.

Shame about the resolution when this is one of the first Windows tablets at this price to include 2GB RAM.

Resolution is still higher than most cheap laptops. And it's only 8" so it actually looks fine.

IMO size is irrelevant - surely resolution is resolution irrespective of the size of the screen? Reduce your desktop monitor to 1280x800 and see how many apps and websites now look?

Argos are generally awful at including essential information which always leads to stacks of those annoying q&a notes on their products, which again aren't always correct..

After Argos' monumental failure in delivering the Lenovo A8 I ordered during Black Friday week, dare I tempt fate again and give them my custom. If only I had a magic 8-ball to help me decide.

Anyone have one of these to comment on how good they are. Just after something to browse and watch tv and films on but I can't put up with input lag when navigating.

Adequate resolution and 32GB with 2GB oif RAM (if it checks out) that is a damned good spec for a tablet of this size. I have a Acer with the same spec and sc reen size. It runs MS Office fine and is a great tablet to compliment my larger Dell i5 Windows tablet.
Good deal and heat added.
I added the desktop site link rather than the mobile one.

Yes all these tablets are eligible for the free upgrade. I did iit on my Linx 8. You may need to pfaff around a bit to clear up some storage before the update runs, but it's doable.

Im waiting for Cherry trail tablets to come in sub-£100. They should be vastly better at gaming than these bay trails.

Same here, I have a feeling all these cheap deals are to get rid of the bay trail tablets and mini laptops before they become undesirable.

I have one. It does have 2 gb of ram. Windows 10 installed fine on it and runs with no problems. Battery life is crap. doubt it would last a whole day of heavy use. 5 lives of candy crush and the battery drops 10%. i just use it as a backup for when my ipads on charge.
Had one for past few months. Used mainly for surfing, gaming and movies. Can't say I notice any lag when navigating menus. Still to upgrade to win10. Pleased with it over a previous windows tab that died and a previous android one. Two year warranty is a bonus

That reviews for a different model.
The Argos one has 2gb ram and no hdmi out according to the spec.

Review says 1gb
point to note though about software - the windows app store maybe baaaad
but under win10 and using tablet mode - desktop software e.g. Kindle for PC
runs well and much better then the app version - win 10 has been so good with my Dell Venue Pro
The upgrade from 8.1 to win 10 was night and day !

It DOES have 2GB RAM (on an older Eluma thread I posted a link to someone demo-ing it and showing off the specs but it seems to be deleted from Youtube now).
Has anyone collected yet? Can someone kindly confirm if its the 2GB RAM model or 1?

It IS 2GB RAM, sadly the Youtube video demo-ing it is deleted, but I tried it instore at Argos a few months ago and looked at the specs.

Was going to buy but checked reviews and this tablet is not upgrade able to Windows 10- apparently the touch screen drivers issue. The screen becomes unresponsive on upgrade. Don't need an expensive paper weight- thanks!

Can't comment on the Eluma personally as I don't have it, but I have seen comments from people who upgraded this tablet to Windows 10 with success.
Staples were doing a 2GB, 32GB Linx 8 for £49.99 - you guys just need to hold out for a bit and they will be this price or lower. Tesco sold an 8.9" one, 1GB and 16GB for £50 a few weeks ago. Just hang fire.
Brought this one im assuming its A Grade due to the slight price hike

Don't buy it, I bought it and had to exchange 4 times with same problem which is dust creeps into the display and camera. In the end returned it, apart from that it's a really really good tablet, DOES HAVE 2GB RAM, very fast and works a treat, resolution is good, upgrades to Windows 10 & includes office 365 subscription.

Personally I wouldn't think a returned tablet was a good deal for £10 price reduction plus there's a good chance the Microsoft office has been already activated.

Supports only 1gb of ram so they definitely have the spec wrong either the cpu or ram.
The 10" version of this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3383391.htm bizarrely does have 1GB of RAM, which is just silly.

I wonder if the Windows 10 drivers for the Linx 10 would work (same processor/RAM?).
