BT are offering 3GB instead of 2GB data. 500 mins, unlimited texts. You can also watch exclusive live Barclays Premier league matches on BT Sport lite - free on the BT sport app. Deal on until 22nd December
Just another point that I didn't see mentioned in the title. You also get unlimited use of BT WiFi. I've found their network to be vast compared to other Wifi when out and about, so this may make the deal a little more enticing.

Not suprising it's the EE network as they were trying to buy EE for 12.5BN. Mobile data seems fine. Being tied into BT other services is normally costly. After the discounted first year you usually pay over the price.

Any way to move my existing number over to this deal? I'm on o2 payg
I found the answer.
Not a problem! All you need to keep your number is a PAC code from your old mobile provider. A PAC code is 9-character code like "ABC123456", that allows us to transfer your number from your old provider to BT. Once you've activated your SIM you can give us your PAC code and the transfer usually takes 24 hours. We'll keep in touch with you to let you know what's happening.

Voted cold purely for the fact that Virgin Mobile have a tariff for the same price that offers qgb data but 5 x as many minutes which include 0845 and 0870 numbers and is only on a 30 day rolling contract.
Considering the amount of free public wifi, the speed of peoples home wifi and the fact that a lot of people have wifi at work, I'd have to disagree.
Dryosh
15 Dec 151#26
Considering 1gb would last me about 1 week I have to contradict your statement.
danborini86
15 Dec 15#27
Based on that, the 3GB per month would last you about 3 weeks, which contradicts your strangely loyal defence of this deal.
Dryosh
15 Dec 15#28
I wasn't defending this deal, I was commenting on you not comparing like for like and "1gb lasts about a week" is just over a week. 3gb would stretch out to 4.
danborini86
15 Dec 15#29
about a week could also be 5/6 days. I voted cold because I believed the other deal to be better, granted there will be people that would be more suited to the original deal but there will also be people, like myself, that would be better suited to the Virgin one. Did you just want an argument or are you so impressed by this deal that nobody can have an opinion that differs from yours on it?
Dryosh
15 Dec 15#30
I'm not arguing, I'm expressing an opinion that differs to yours.
But my point still stands, you didn't post a deal that matches the one you voted cold on, you posted a link to a deal that maybe suites your needs. For me data is important and call time has zero importance to me.
At least make a like for like comparison.

I also have moved to id.Why you lost your number? They must give a pac code.I have now 6gb data for 12.50month and lot of minutes and texts. This is sim only contract for one month. If they will bill me to much I will finish with them quickly.
brookheather
15 Dec 15#37
I was recently looking at the 2GB BT contract for my children but I think once you use your 2GB data allowance they charge you a high price per MB and on the iPhone there isn't an easy way to limit monthly data usage so I ended up going with a 2GB Three contract for £11 as they allow you to stop any additional spend on calls or data.
Coreydeals to brookheather
15 Dec 15#39
BT have a spend cap, but this is apparently set at £5 minimum, so you'd get a warning but you could still go over by £5. Not sure why they couldn't have set this to 0, but it seems like you managed to get a peace of mind deal.
OKnotOK
15 Dec 151#38
Looks a really good deal to me - and obviously not comparable to the Virgin deal which has 1/3rd of the data allowance.
I regularly get to the top of my 2gb limit and either have to pay extra for a top-up or spend the last week or so limiting myself. So 3GB is perfect for me. And £10 is a very good price for that. Fortunately I got one of the BT broadband contract offers recently. Voted hot.

I posted this deal as it was the amount of data you got that interested me. I wasn't so worried about texts or minutes. I have looked on the life mobile site and to get 3GB of data (only 3G not 4G as you can get with BT) it is 11.95 a month, so I don't see how the life mobile deal is better.

You claim it 14 days after activation. (After the cooling off period is expired). There's a link you need to visit in the T&Cs and you submit a claim. There was a similar one for my broadband deal that I signed up to recently. They hide it away a little bit because they want people to forget, but the process was easy and I got my voucher no problem.

I have recently taken up this excellent deal after being a Vodafone customer for years I decided to buy a sim free Htc M8 when my contract finished. This allowed me to test all the network's coverage both at work and home, EE proved to be the best, now it was a case of getting the cheapest deal using the EE signal. I went for The People's Operator (good cash back deal at the time). The whole experience was a painful one, yes customer service is in the UK but appear to be small in number.
We transferred 2 numbers to TPO and on both occasions there were issues and delays. Yes I was only paying £11 for 3gb data, Utd mins and texts but in the mobile industry it certainly seems to be a case of you get what you pay for.
The BT switch was seamless regular updates via email and text, a nice healthy cash back via Topcashback and 4G if needed too. Not to mention live premiership games via the BT app on mi IPad.
Again I could have got a cheaper deal with Virgin mobile bring a Virgin Media customer but so far the BT mobile experience has been excellent. I will however not be switching my 150MB Virgin broadband as ever since NTL days it's been solid.
