Incredible value for my favourite point and click franchise of all time (even though King's Quest VI is still my favourite point and click adventure ever).
Broken Sword 5 is on at £4.74 but 4 of these games for less than a fiver you can't complain....even though I'll watch the cold votes roll on in as it was probably 87p for all of them 4 months ago in Brasil.

Huuumm no not really if you'd noticed the similar Steam dislike in this very same deal from others who are not me...
We're all having a party up here.

If a certain piece of software is that important you can rip it and upload it to multiple cloud storages, dropbox etc

The Broken Sword games are awesome. My girlfriend played through 3 with me and ended up doing a great impression of Niko saying "The door was securely locked!" which was so cute at the time. It's less cute now... when I come back from the pub and hammer on the door or try ana....

So... they dumbed down the first game by removing puzzles, dialogue, and half the stuff you can click on, destroyed any sense of challenge by signposting everything, while simultaneously adding pointless bits with Nico which ruined the flow of the story just so they could claim that she is the protagonist not George so they could plaster her face on marketing materials (and every example screenshot on the Steam store page).
In short, they have ruined a masterpiece because they think their target audience is thick women.

Don't know about the audience thing in the last line but the "Director's Cut" version works very very poorly on PC - it was originally only put out on the DSi (not 3DS) - which explains the simplifying you mentioned. All the other releases of it came after that. Have you played the Director's Cut to completion? I've still not reached any George content yet. Also, the versions on Gog.com also have the original versions included so that might be of interest to you over any Steam version. Gog.com guarantee their games to run or your money back. Somewhat unlike Valve's policy which is pretty much "oh, you paid for them now. Sorry pal you're on your own - have a look at our forums or...something".

Steam means you will surrender any ownership of your games to Valve (read the small print to confirm this). It's a third party piece of software that installs a silent entry in your Startup list. Other than that it's the best thing since sliced copyright issues.

Okay rant over. If you want I will take you through step by step, with some screenshots, of where you get Steam from and how to add your game to it. Just let me know.

Yep digitally purchased games, usually at full price, they have full control, and it can all end tomorrow and nothing u can do about it, they have some deals that try to entice you in (such as this).
They won't ever get a penny from me, i prefer physical games, if i want it digitally stored i will rip it
