It isn't on Netflix UK or USA, Batman the movie 1966 is on UK Netflix but not the TV series.

No it's not and people do like to own stuff, by your logic most of the deals for films and shows shouldn't be posted because you can get them on Netflix or Amazon. Also even if it was on Netflix etc you don't get the extras you get with most box sets, and the picture quality would be nowhere near as good as the blu Ray set. never understand post like this apart from some need for attention.

I have no need for this series but even I'm tempted by this deal..
It has about half the amount of episodes of SG1 as well as a shorter running time for starters.

Batman was filmed on 35mm film, and has no rendered special effects. SG-1's first few seasons were filmed in 16mm, and it's likely that the special effects used throughout the entire show were rendered in SD as was the practice in those days. To bring SG-1 onto blu ray would be similar, if not more effort, than it took to get Star Trek:TNG onto blu ray, which included recreating all of the special effects from the ground-up. They did it because Trek had a much bigger fan-base to cater to, there probably isn't the demand for SG-1 (unfortunately).

I personally welcome the information as long as it's correct because it benefits us as consumers, certainly isn't just for attention.
I partially agree but as you said IF it's correct which it wasn't as its not on any Netflix region! So there are lying it's never been on Netflix and as I said no region has it, so why post something which is a lie, hell 5 minutes on Google could of told them this

I bought the Italian version before. Aside from the back slip it's all English. Going to offload but maybe tough without barcode.

Why not, they said its on Netflix which it isn't. Sorry but why would someone post that it was on Netflix if it's not, hey most people would know that it's on before making a post stating it is.
So they are lying or seeking attention or their memory is so bad they think they have watching a show on Netflix that not on it and never has been

*goes off to start a crowd funding campaign* At the very least 16mm is roughly half of 35 mm so could we have 720p footage upscaled to 1080p?
voyager123
7 Dec 15#36
Doesn't work that way. Sadly it's just not popular enough to put the time and effort in, same goes for Babylon 5 which I think will never be seen on blu ray unless they redo all the special effects which would cost a fortune and make the box sets very pricey
