Babyliss Curl Secret hair stylers - I'll be honest, i'm a man - I have short hair so no real idea what these are. However, they appear to be around £90+ elsewhere so at £69 it seems like a deal?

This is a great deal I havent seen them for less than £100. I think they are a little overpriced but still good deal. Great find have some Christmas heat. :innocent:

These are great! I got them last Christmas and they are so easy to curl your hair with. I was useless using hair straighteners to do it but these made it look like I mad spent ages on my hair.

Just be careful, lots of fakes about on the bay and some amazon sellers.

Wife has these and after some practice she is now able to look like she paid a hairdresser to do her hair prior to a night out, I know she paid a lot more than £69 too.

I ordered from them the last time they were on offer. The light came on briefly and then they died. Have returned them to Amazon, you pay for the return and it's refunded on receipt (£13), a lot of expense and a lot of waiting for nothing. I'm waiting to see who else has them on offer in the UK.

Be aware, this is not a fault of the C1000E (European) Curl Secret, it needs a 13amp adapter to work - a 1amp shaver adapter is no good.
One of these is what you need http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00AIRQR1G (you screw the EU 2 pins inside the plug assembly), a 5amp fuse won't work, but a 13amp will.
You will need one of these plugs (and 13amp fuse) with the C1000E to get it to work properly - otherwise it will just light up for a few seconds, then go dead.
The one I have is the C1100E (ionic version) but they are essentially the same apart from that.

I'm gutted that I missed out on the BaByliss 2667U Curl Secret's for £59.99 last time around as they're currently £100 - everywhere you look!
Heat OP.

There's a certain knack with the Curl Secret - the first mistake is putting too much hair in (I know I did in the beginning). Takes a bit of trial and error.
Also, comb each strand before you put your hair in - otherwise you'll get tangles!
Be wary of buying the Curl Secret from 3rd party sellers/ebay as there's Babyliss knockoffs on Aliexpress for around a tenner currently!
