Finished in aluminium and leather, the Bang & Olufsen H6 on-ear headphones stand out with their luxury styling and extreme comfort. Matched twin 40mm drivers supply the sound and are tuned for balanced playback across their range.
Best price I've seen for these, also comes with a free two year guarantee.

I think you'd be better off with a pair of socks on your head than with the Beats to be honest.

Got the H6 for a week now. The sound is really good, almost as good as my Beyerdynamic T90. Wish it can be slightly more comfortable though...

Right. Thanks, that makes sense.
While on subject of B&O headphones, yet another Amazon lightning sale of the little H2 model is due at 12; 12.30 for non-prime.

homeavdirect had the same price on these over Black Friday-Cyber Monday.
My understanding is that this model is a little demanding on power, though it seems phones and DAPs are generally improving in that area? Any H6 owners care to comment?

It's fine on my iPhone, gets more than loud enough. And as they're closed back you don't need the volume very night anyway. Can't really comment on other phones.

yes power hungry but a small fiio inline amp solves that, I use fiio e06, can be set to bing out a little extra low end which is very satisfying

Thanks for that.

H6 don't have any wireless / NFC / bluetooth capabilities at all, they're purely wired (3.5mm) headphones.
Very comfortable cans, waiting for a deal on the H7 though as I want more of the same, but wireless

The H7 sound quality is supposed to be noticeably worse. But with Bluetooth i think you'll always have to make that sacrifice.
I agree, not clear at all if they do have some form of wireless connection. Would be amazing if they did. If anybody has these headphones please do let us know. Thanks

Yes but you can get them 2nd hand in mint condition for around £200 if you search a bit!

Nice headphones but my current favourites of a similar ilk are the Oppo PM-3 but they a bit dearer than this.

Surely PM3 is nicer, but it is £100+ more...

Just went and tried this pair at Richer sound. I think for £200 this is well worth. Pretty good sound sounding throughout. Maybe I would wish it is a bit more airer, soundstage & comfortable when compare with my beloved T90. But that's an open back headphone & £70 more expensive. Also, wish the earpads can be slightly thicker and make with velour+leather would be fantastic.
Also tried the T51i in store, which is on-ear but is super light weight, is very comfortable when first put on. But guess it won't be that comfortable if you don't like earpads sit on ur ears. The sound is also good. Somehow the bass/low/mid low are not as good solid as the h6. But just minor...

JL are very good at honouring their warranty , I've taken faulty headphones back in the past and they've swapped them out for brand new ones without any issues. You have the added advantage of being able to do this in store that you don't with Amazon etc...

Richer have exclusions around headphones so its only able to be repaired not refunded if they don't suit. JL you can return within 3 months for a refund.

How about 3 years warranty from Richersound?

Apparently so however under Bluetooth it says No. Slightly confusion as I thought NFC was used to establish a bluetooth connection. Even after doing a quick search online I cannot see they are wireless but feel free to prove me wrong.
On another note Amazon are doing these for £199 with Prime.
Interesting but 2 year JL warranty tops it for me.

Expensive considering they are not wireless or noise cancelling. Is the sound really that good?

According to the specs they do support NFC?

Erm... Richershound doesn't allow you to refund headphone even within 14 days... A bit risky...what if I don't like this headphone..... thinking thinking...

FYI. Richer Sounds have now price matched this price. If you buy from them, you'll get an extra years guarantee:
If the correct spec figures there are 97 dB/mW and 30 ohms then I guess that is a bit tough for most of the tiny DAPs (FiiO M3 borderline? xduoo x2 should be OK).

Hi,
I have just brought a pair of beats studio 2.0 from currys at £129 being reduced
Are they decent or would these be extremely better and worth returning those for these??
Obviously pricey but then I'm sure the quality of build and sound justifies that over most standard brands.....

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay's are far superior. Cannot be compared to Beats 2.0. See it as comparing an Aston Martin to a Vauxhaul Nova
