WTF does the input have to do with the pixel count?

Not the brightest pixel on the panel...

Better go and purchase a £100 monster HDMI cable to make sure no pixels leak out on the way from your monitor to your pc.
main difference i see is its IPS and HDMI
not sure asus may have 2 year warranty
ilyama will have three
basically the illy is a pro screen
asus is a good consumer
also illy has thin bezels
if you explain your requirements others may help you decide
all depends on usage

Never buying Asus again. If it doesn't last a year (and in my experience on more than one device it wont) they will fail to repair it properly repeatedly until the warranty runs out. Then they want you to pay. Just don't do it.

Thanks, I'll only be using it for some basic occasional gaming and watching movies.
I've actually just gone for the Iiyama purely based on build quality and the fact that since both are 5ms screens, the IPS is said to be the more vivid.

Nexus 7 2012...they ruined that with a software update.
TF701t...2 failed warranty repairs now is chargeable because its out of warranty. Initial in-warranty failure was the screen got too hot to touch, smelled of burning, sound went and orientation sensor went. Returned to me with wrong OS (was a test OS)...on receipt neither battery will now charge - they were fine when i sent it off for the OS fix. Useless repair services...no integrity when they mess it up...and they do...repeatedly

Hey, I am a complete idiot when it comes to inputs and monitors and stuff, so I was wondering if you could help me.
I'm looking for a monitor for my PS4, which only has HDMI out. If i purchase something like this and this monitor, will that work? And will it look as good as if I used HDMI to HDMI?
