We bought the i5 variant, my only concern is the keyboard bends in when you type. Otherwise a pretty good laptop.
Bravo.............why don't you mention its £599 too.......

What is the point of posting a £600 laptop that has nothing whatsoever to do with this deal, might as well post any random laptop that is better.

still so many using dvd/cd drives?? one of the main things taking space and making laptops thicker.. OEM's should stop promoting dvd/cd's in laptops

Much better than the pair of these I have ready for tomorrow?
That laptop is very very slow, Anytging like i3 or isomething will be faster and more responsive, I would cancle that order and wait boxing day, guarenteed to get singeing faster and better and cheaper than a pentium! Also you need to think about after you installed all your programs and had it for a year, it will rin at snails pace. I'm hundred percent sure there will be an i5 for that price in the sales

A Pentium for £300? Send it back. Seriously.

Not exactly cheap for an i3 with basic specs!

I agree, there are many i3 laptops for around £300, why is this a deal?

Currently use an Asus laptop. Cost me a lot to repair over the last couple of years. £700 with all the bells and whistles but terribly built. Speakers, bluray drive, wifi switch and power socket all cabbaged at different times.

Low spec for price, should be around the £280 mark max

More like 230, got a lenova i3 5th gen 1Tb 6gb for 260 in boxing day sales, it should be a crime to sell pentium in fancy cases in 2016
Edit got confused with laptop from Argos with pentium. Yes agreed 280 for i3 right now max

Because it's the same model with higher spec which people may have found useful, and it was £479 at the time of posting which was a hot uk deal.

You can get much better than this for £325-350.
Look for an i5 with ideally a dedicated GPU.
Dell have a refurb Inspiron 15 - 5559 with an i5, 1080P and seemingly also a Radeon R5 M335 for ~£365
Hukd had a few i5 5200u's posted around the 300 mark. Better performing CPU in GPU tasks, such as gameplay. It makes sense to buy an i5, similar ram and similar hdd for the same money as an equivilant i3.
