I liked the fourth series, I dunno why it gets so much flack. I thought the way it was done with the plot intertwining and the jokes layering up was done well

To be fair i have only watched series 4 once compared to the 50 million odd times i've seen the first 3 series. I remember a reviewer saying at the time of first airing that it would be appreciated in time and after multiple viewings because of its level of complexity. I'm gonna re-watch i think.

Peoples nutcase nostalgia of the first three series boosted them to a point that no matter what the fourth series was like, it could never compare.
