I'm looking at getting an American Style Fridge Freezer from Argos and it's £729.

Buy it get the vouchers then cancel the order (it's delivery only for obvious reasons) then re-order using the vouchers getting a £70 saving?

On-line it would not let me do that I had to buy two separate items to use two £5.00 vouchers which of course meant twice the delivery fee

I still have my vouchers from the last time because I am unable to pay for an order when using them. I always get an error message saying something like this promotion is not valid, even though the vouchers are deducted from the total order. does anyone else have this problem? is there any solution. I can't pay by PayPal either.

Best of luck getting these vouchers - I have waited over 3 weeks for my ones to the value of £20.00 Received £10.00 worth yesterday but when applied to a new purchase all I got was a notification that 'This voucher is invalid' complained again via another mind bending phone call to which I was sweetly told that 'situation would be looked into'.
I have made over 20 phone calls and at least 5 emails all a total waste of time and money. Argos never used to be like this always received my vouchers in an email as soon as a purchase was completed.
Note to Argos - If it aint broke don't try and fix it.
Really has put me off ever shopping there again.

One of our staff has now twenty years service & is allowed (by HMRC) a £1000 gift tax free.
He has requested £1000 Argos vouchers a reasonable expiry date would be important.

I don't think this is accurate as I bought something from Argos the other day and Ye vouchers were out back in November I think and were valid to be spent between 4th to the 8th of December. Also there's nothing on the site.

Not sure why this deal has gone stratospheric... an effective 10% (max) discount is hardly the deal of the decade.

Found them this evening - they have £15, £25 and £50 vouchers. The £15 ones are too low for the vouchers, so the £25 ones are the ones to go for. Bought 4 this afternoon - with 4 vouchers from 4 free magazines (page 103), total of 700 clubcard points - nice and easy.

You have to allow 24 hours for them to activate apparently.

Another tip for extending the life of vouchers - ask to spend 1p on cat number 981/0758. You'll get £4.99 back onto a 3-year gift card without having to bother with a refund! Might look a bit cheap doing so though as it's the charity collection catalogue number, but I wouldn't put it past a lot of you :wink: If you felt more generous, ask to donate a bit more and you'll get whatever else in change on a 3-year gift card.
