iPad Mini with Retina Display is the newest variant of the iPad Mini from Apple. It is the latest device in Apple's "Mini" series and builds on the specs offered on its predecessor which was the first compact tablet from Apple. The device features an oleophobic (fingerprint resistant) 7.9-inch LED-backlit IPS Retina Display having a much higher HD resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. It weighs much less than a pound and sits at 7.5mm thin making it easily portable.

A7 chipset not only features a superior processor than its predecessor, but also offers an M7 motion coprocessor that enhances speed of operation of the primary A7 chip. Device ROM is pre-loaded with iOS 7, the latest operating system from Apple. You can also download the latest version over the air. The OS comes with a variety of new features such as AirPrint, Control Center, Notification Center, Spotlight Search, iCloud Keychain and Passbook.
iPad Mini is equipped with a 5MP primary iSight camera on the rear. It allows AF with touch focus for Full HD 1080p recording, face detection, video stabilization and backside illumination capabilities. The camera houses a 5-element lens and comes with Hybrid Infrared filter as well. You can zoom up to 3x while capturing videos with iSight.
Other important specs of the new iPad Mini include dual-channel Wi-Fi with built-in MIMO technology, Bluetooth 4.0, HTML Safari browser, 1.2MP HD FaceTime camera (front), 3.5mm stereo jack, speakers built-in, dual mic, lightening connection, 3-axis gyroscope, iCloud service, Siri voice assistant, SNS integration, Maps, Game Center, AirPlay, and a Li-Po 23.8Wh rechargeable battery that gives up to 10h browsing/video playback.

Wouldn't touch eglobalcentral with a bargepole ever again. Ordered an ipad mini from them on 13th December, 1 month later I still hadn't received it - ended up getting PayPal to resolve the dispute by giving me a refund. Awful company and their customer service (e-mail only) was non-existent.

Do not order from this company. It is based and shipped from Hong Kong. A friend recently ordered a Apple Watch and on their site it states 6-8 days. He's still waiting after 22 days. Numerous emails to the company etc etc. A shoddy outfit.

Bad luck on his side. Many others have ordered from here and have had no issues.

repouk have you had personal experience of this statement? I can give you my experience of a Pixel Electronics iPad Mini 2 bought last xmas for daughter (sourced from Hong Kong). Screen failed after about 4 months and the Apple Store replaced it for a like for like on the spot so i'd say they do honour the warranty

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I bought an Air 2 grey import from Pixel Electronics couple of weeks ago (they ship within the UK so no import duty issues). I've checked the warranty cover online using the serial number and its covered for a year.....

Ordered for mum for as a joint Xmas pressie but not expecting it to be here by 25th as the Kindles took 9 working days from order to arrive (though they were sourced from Mexico )
What is everyone else's expectation / experience of getting these delivered in time for the 25th?

I thought the same until I read the following in their terms and conditions:
16. Import, VAT & Customs
16.1 To simplify the process of buying internationally, eglobal central choose to handle the process of custom clearance for customers. By purchasing products through eglobal central, you authorise eglobal central to make arrangements for clearance of customs on your behalf for the products in your order. As importing products from overseas can be a hassle for most of our customers, we organise this process for you. We then provide you with fast local shipping to deliver the goods to your door. As a result, prices shown on this website are the final total you have to pay to have the order delivered to your door, without any hidden charges and customs delay.
16.2 After 3 month of receiving the goods and clearing customs, eGlobal Central will not be held responsible for any custom related fees.
Seems they take the relevant actions to pay/avoid this?

Also use code BUY599 to make it £160. Buy has to be in capitals to be accepted.

Just bought one of these from this seller on the 8th, delivered on 15th by dpd. I think they ship from the eu now as mine seemed to come via Germany so to avoid customs charges perhaps? Read a lot of horror stories after buying but all good and yes it does have a uk warranty as I have registered the serial to my Apple ID and it shows as covered until Nov 2016.

Pay £35 more and get the better Samsung Tab S from Tesco... unless you (weirdly) like being tied to Apple.

Someone was saying they ship from Hong Kong so can incur charges when shipping to over here. Is that correct?

Yes, £13 fee + 20% VAT + Customs duty (can't remember the percentage). If your package gets stopped then you;'ll end up paying more than buying from a UK supplier. Plus of course, with a UK supplier you'll have a warranty. Apple won't cover grey imports.

Only one really. The iPad mini 3, was a pathetic update. New colours and fingerprint sensor is not worth a release.
