From what I've learned, for this game in particular, the cards to be read contain special characters which other wise would not appear in your game.

This is not a real Animal Crossing game if that's what you are after.it's just a spin off..

I've got this game and in all honesty in takes a couple of hours not even that to complete the main story line. After that you do new villagers houses up which gets extremely repetitive.
