E.g. Sudocrem 400g, effective price £1.50 delivered, 20 Paper Mate Inkjoy pens, effective price 81p delivered, Sennheiser earphones, effective price £2 delivered, etc. if you read Kindle books, watch films, listen to music or buy apps from Amazon.

Individual No-rush orders for good value Amazon Prime items over £3 are a great way of collecting Amazon's £3 per order digital content credits/vouchers (to be used by mid Feb) to extract maximum value from Amazon by shopping now for items that you know you or your family will use/consume in the short to mid-term, so I thought it would be useful to start a thread where we can share such items, complete with some I've found myself and some from other HUKD threads (for which thanks to their OPs) - see clickable links in first comments below.

I think most people would prefer a thread with useful No-rush deals rather than comments about the merits of Amazon, Amazon Prime or No-rush delivery, so if you have Prime and read Kindle books or watch Amazon videos or buy Amazon MP3s and aren't in a rush for your goods then this is the thread for you! If you don't like Amazon or don't have Amazon Prime or don't see the point of having Prime AND using No-rush delivery please try to avoid boring people with off-topic gripes!

Please contribute your own finds and please help highlight the best No-rush deals by using the 'like' button - it doesn't cost you anything!

You can check your Digital Credit balance here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000706783

N.B. The £3 credit is applied once the order has despatched, not before!

If you're needing help finding things to spend your Amazon digital credit on please see sabresonics's thread here:

Not really effective price at all though. You're still paying full price, but getting a credit towards something completely different...

Great effort, but you've put as much into responding to the negativity as you have creating the deal.

It's only effectively 81p if you actually think £3 of digital credit is worth the same as £3 of cash. (I don't think it is)

You have to have Amazon Prime. Assuming that, have one item in your basket, proceed to checkout, in the Choose your Prime delivery option section select FREE No-Rush Delivery (3 - 5 business days) Get a £3 Amazon Appstore, Digital Video, Kindle Book & Digital Music Credit, click Buy Now, then sit back and wait for the goods to arrive (at the full price) and receive a £3 Kindle Book/Video/Music credit for digital content that you would otherwise spend money buying.

For instance, from the previous instance of this offer and this new one (courtesy of GHAZI786), I've racked up about £140 worth of digital credit that I'll easily spend in the next month or so on Kindle Books, waiting, of course, to extract maximum value in the post Christmas Day Kindle Book Sale, which will hopefully be better than the pre Christmas Kindle Book Sale!

Looks like we're back to £1 per no-rush delivery instead of £3, so have expired. Thank you to all of you have enjoyed this post and supported it. I still don't understand why those who've been rude about or dismissive of this post couldn't just go on their way and leave those of us who liked it do so in peace - what was the point of all the animosity? The mind boggles at the spite of the self-righteous - there was nothing in this for me other than the satisfaction of helping those who were interested to make the most of Amazon's no-rush offer. Anyway, Merry Christmas, and happy Kindling, listening, viewing and app using with all those £3 digital credits!

For those ignorant of the SOED definition of the word 'profit', here it is:

profit [noun]
/ˈprɒfɪt/
noun. me.
[ORIGIN: Old French & mod. French from Latin profectus progress, profit, from profect- pa. ppl stem of proficere: see proficient.]
1. Advantage or benefit to a person or group; (one's) good. Also, advantage or benefit residing in a thing, use. me.
‣†b That which is to the advantage or benefit of someone or something. rare (Shakes.). Only in e17.
Addison Posts of Honour, Dignity, and Profit. G. B. Shaw Before the Peace Conference can be discussed with any profit.
2...

I think that more than adequately covers the usage here. HTH.

Profit is when you earn more money than you spend including costs & you can put it in your bank. Credit is when you are given or gain credit to spend in a particular way with a particular company or companies.

They are two different words with different meanings.

Bravo Sleth!

As Sleth says, the two items he's found are both £1 each on a Lightning Deal, but both are eligible for the £3 No-rush digital credit - so by ordering them separately using No-rush you get £4 of straight profit to spend on Kindle books or other digital products! And if the goods do turn up, you have a couple of drinks coasters or something for your local charity shop! Bargain!

Not so.
As has been states many times in this thread, if you would be buying the item against which you are redeeming the digital credit anyway, it is as good as cash. So effective is used correctly.
A buy one get one free offer in the supermarket is the same principal. You don't get given the cash, but the price per item is halved - effectively.

It's not £3 back. You get to download some digital content in return. Genius problem solving by Amazon. They solve two problems at once. Inventory clearance and heavy delivery load. Really hats off to them.

Also OP doesn't understand how the word effective is used. The £3.82 item never effectively becomes £0.82. He pays £3.82 and will never see the cash back.

See this link for CD Albums between £3.01 and £4.01 that have Autorip and rate at least 4 stars.

Warning: To those that aren't aware Amazon will pick a different price if it is lower. If you order any of these from a third party they won't come with AutoRip so make sure you choose the Amazon seller! It also means that some of them may actually be more than the price range stated by Amazon...

Thank you - have updated the top comment accordingly. The £8.50 is a Marketplace FBA price - it might come back into stock from Amazon before the offer ends if we're lucky.

I started a thread here Amazon Digital Credit - What to Buy?

I'm not looking to acquire any more credit right now, my problem is I have accrued £80+ of Amazon Digital Credit and struggling to find any bargains to spend it on before it expires! There have been a couple of decent videos already posted on HUKD which I've added to the thread;

Predestination HD film to purchase for £1.99 (http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/predestination-2015-amazon-video-buy-hd-version-for-1-99-2342975)

Avengers Age of Ultron 99p HD Rental (http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/marvel-s-avengers-age-ultron-0-99-hd-sd-rental-amazon-video-2347797)

I was asking people to post any good finds but they seem top be thin on the ground, may have more luck after Christmas but my credit expires 31st January.

Not really into Kindle books so I'm hunting down Digital Movies and MP3's. I've started to work my way through the MP3's but its a pretty extensive list they have! It won't be to many people's taste probably and as mentioned, they aren't at the bargain end i.e. 99p/1.99, but they do range from about £2.49 up to £5.

I'll be posting my results over on that thread once completed and then move on to movies.

If anyone happens to come across some good finds please post them.

Credit top the Op here though. Its been a great promo but the challenge now is to find stuff to spend it on. A lot of their music and movies can be found cheaper elsewhere.

I usually let pathetic bickering go over my head and just move on without comment, but it seems to me some people simply dislike the fact that the OP has come up with a very useful post which will no doubt get very hot and will help those people interested in these deals (and there clearly are many people interested).

I suspect the haters are jealous of the likelihood of this deal going red hot (with relevant badges of honour as acknowledgement). Well so what? Why can't those people just move on without comment?

I'm personally not interested in this deal/post, but I can see the benefit to those that are.

Please haters, just ignore this post, stop creating animosity and move on to another deal.

Good post OP, not personally for me, but nevertheless a good post so well done.

So I pay £3.49 and I can download the mp3, then they credit £3 in proper money back to my account which if I wish I can spend on buying the physical CD by going though the same process again???

Or I could spend the £3 credit on absolutely anything else?

Is there somewhere that explains this because I'm at the last stage and it says nothing apart from somethings been applied but not what and the price is still £3.49?

Indeed - I thought of that! You have to spend a minimum of £3 to qualify for a £3 digital credit, though I reckon a 100% rate of return is pretty good. Thank you. I'm just sorry that it seems to annoy a small number of vociferous people who seem to think we get paid for posting deals and who get annoyed when I respond to them! An earlier critic mentioned the Argos deal, and asked why not post a separate deal for everything with their £10 voucher offer, which misses the point, namely that:

- the Argos offer gets you £10 on purchases of £100 or more, so there is a high entry price of £100 and a maximum benefit of no more than 10%.

- this offer gets you £3 of digital credit on purchases of £3 or more, so there's a maximum benefit of up to 100%, reducing pro rata to 50% for purchases of £6, 33% for purchases of £9 etc., so a much greater rate of return.

The idea behind this thread being to collect all such high discount/credit to cost deals in one place, for those who care to maximise their digital book, music, video and app credit while buying low cost useful items (that in many cases are hot deals in their own right) that we'd be buying anyway at some point in the foreseeable future.

If anyone has a valid comment towards the deal please post but do not post insults
Ajibee to andywedge
19 Dec 15 3 #29
Thank you AndyWedge. It's disappointing how obtuse and argumentative some people are because they don't like the deal. There's nothing in it for me other than the satisfaction of helping people get value for their money (and maybe get some good deals back too).

The shocking part is that at least a couple of the items I've listed above are hot deals in their own right (e.g. Sudocrem 400g at £4.50, Sennheiser earphones for £5, etc.), so getting them with an additional £3 voucher back on top is a great deal (for those who can read or listen to music or enjoy films or apps, anyway).
Ajibee
19 Dec 15 #27
Plus Amazon Video too (the stuff that isn't included with Prime), so there's lots of scope for using the credit up.
andysmoore
19 Dec 15 1 #18
Good effort. But I'd admire a thread telling me what I can actually spend my credit on. I know there have been a couple of odd ones like die hard, fightclub and predestination, but a massive list would be Epic.
lostwebb to andysmoore
19 Dec 15 2 #26
It's anything on Amazon App Store, kindle store or MP3 store. You want a list of every single thing on all of those stores?!?!
ficosaneil
19 Dec 15 19 #15
Not really effective price at all though. You're still paying full price, but getting a credit towards something completely different...
julieallen to ficosaneil
19 Dec 15 #16
If you would but the things that the credit can be used for then it is.
If you wouldn't then it isn't, but then this isn't a thread for you to be in if thats the case
Ajibee to ficosaneil
19 Dec 15 4 #25
You might not read books or watch films or listen to music, but for those of us that do, e.g. with a huge wishlist of books, buying a buying the Sudocrem 400g, for instance, for £4.50, gets us £3 back to spend on books. However you split the credit, you're getting £7.50 worth of merchandise for £4.50.

Indeed. You understand the deal! In my family we get through things like Sudocrem, earphones, pens, etc. at some rate, so getting £3 a time back towards books etc. is a great deal.

Gee, thanks for acknowledging the effort I've put into helping people. You might not appreciate my effort, but as you can see from other comments here there are a good number of people who do appreciate it, so kindly take your bile elsewhere. Thank you.

If I spend £3.81 on a pack of pens that me and my family will use/lose/do useful things with and get £3 worth of Kindle books then we're getting £6.81 worth of stuff that we will use and appreciate and learn from for £3.81.

I'm quite sure Amazon aren't really chuckling - using this deal effectively, for stuff that you would buy/use/consume anyway for lots of small orders (that being the key) and getting a big chunk of books or films or entertainment into the bargain is NOT what Amazon want - they're just trying to manage the spikes and troughs in their order/dispatch process. If they were really chuckling about this then they'd offer £3 all the time, not just at very busy times. If you stop to think about it.

P.S. To the small number of people who caused this thread to be expired for a couple of hours until it was unexpired, please don't abuse the spam button - it has been unexpired by the powers that be on HUKD, so is clearly NOT spam. Please respect the mods decision unless you wish to incur their wrath. Thank you.

19 Dec 15 #22
Hmmm.... Not really 'effectively' that price is it?

Just buying rubbish for the sake of getting £3 back in digital credit.

Amazon must be chuckling.
Newbold to Turnip

I'd say the £3 credit is great if your buying something you want, but to buy stuff you don't need/want so as to get the credit, isn't such a good deal.
Ajibee
19 Dec 15 1 #14
That depends on your choices and what you spend it on - I personally buy a lot of Kindle books, with many of the better quality ones costing a good few pounds each, so for me and people like me it is the same as cash, but there aren't many people for whom the £3 voucher is of no value.
paul_merton
19 Dec 15 8 #13
It's only effectively 81p if you actually think £3 of digital credit is worth the same as £3 of cash. (I don't think it is)

No, it's not the same. This is a thread for deals using that offer, to highlight the ones that give HUKDers maximum value for money, so it's not the same as GHAZI786's post, whose contribution I have acknowledged.

I apologize if I am being, let's say, a bit dumb here .... I have never heard of this until now, please could some one be so kind as to explain how to get the items at the prices you are posting? Thank you. :innocent: Am I not seeing it as I do not have Amazon Prime?
