With twice as many pixels as the previous generation, the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 6 inch 4GB WiFi Tablet has an improved high-resolution 300 ppi display for crisp, print-quality text. The all-new Kindle Paperwhite now offers Bookerly, an exclusive font crafted from the ground up for reading on digital screens. Warm and contemporary, Bookerly is inspired by the artistry of the best fonts in modern print books, but is hand-crafted for great readability at any font size.
Unlike reflective tablet and smartphone screens, the latest Kindle Paperwhite reads like paper – no annoying glare, even in bright sunlight. It also won't tire your eyes in the dark. Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 6 inch 4GB WiFi Tablet guides light towards the surface of the display with its built-in front light – so you can read comfortably without straining your eyes. Adjust your screen's brightness for great reading in any light, in one hand for long time. Kindle Paperwhite won't leave you tethered to a socket. A single charge can last up to six weeks (based on half an hour of reading per day with wireless off and the light setting at ten).
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 6 inch 4GB WiFi Tablet is purposely designed as a dedicated E-reader. Indulge your love of reading without interruptions such as e-mail alerts or push notifications. You can enjoy text that reads like the printed page. All fonts have been hand-tuned at the pixel level for maximum readability and comfort. With Page Flip, you can skim page-by-page, scan by chapter, or skip to the end for a sneak peek without losing your place. Add margin notes that you can edit, delete or even export from your device to your computer. Share highlighted sections and meaningful quotes on Facebook and Twitter, and see passages frequently highlighted by other Kindle readers.

I received mine today, but I didn't open it as it's for a Christmas present. However, I was surprised at the shape/size. It seems smaller than the traditional kindle. Is it smaller, or is it just my imagination?

I just called DPD on 0121 275 0500 and they told me the same.
I've ordered 2 phones from e-global in the last year, the first took exactly 2 weeks to arrive, the second 1 week. Each time I got the despatch e-mail with a link to DPD tracking days before it actually came and began to wonder if the link was actually live, then suddenly everything moved very quickly and I got a delivery slot confirmed within a day of the update.
I know it's frustrating but you will get the product, they aren't scammers. This is the price you pay for the price you pay, I'm affraid.

I made a stupid mistake and ordered this deal,. confusing the dealer with a different one I had used before. Only minutes later I read the comments here and tried to cancel the order. Their site says that you can cancel as long as the order is still being processed. It was, of course, but the response I got by e-mail is that they were so busy they would not look at my ticket for two or three days - by which point of course it will have been dispatched. Their phone helpline was closed. I can only hope for the best, but it is a relief that I shouldn't have to pay customs duty but it's worrying that I will effectively have no guarantee. Normally, I would have been suspicious about such a low price, but because it was a "Black Friday" deal I fell for it. My own fault I guess, but it would help if sites like this gave a link to reviews of the dealer!

Very dodgy retailer - I would not risk buying anything from them. They are very hit and miss, and useless from a support perspective...think Pixmania only worse.
The extra £20 to buy it from amazon is well worth it - you are guaranteed to get it then, for it to be a UK product and to be genuine.

I wanted to buy something from eglobal central yesterday.
Then I google them, I was shocked by what they did or are doing.
I am not taking my chances with them.
If anything goes wrong, you can only wish yourself good luck.
No VAT or import charge, mostly likely due to dispatch from their EU warehouse. Goods from EU warehouse to UK customers, VAT already charged on the VAT rate of where the supplier based. There is no custom to stop goods from EU. They are directly to your door.

It does have a browser but it is not good so people don't know or don't want to use it.
EGlobal I believe buy stuff all over the world and then sell it wherever it is the most expensive, usually with a discount.
I might be wrong but they dispatch from UK so it shouldn't cost you any import fees. Also they are the ones offering warranty rather than say amazon. (As your device is likely to come from across the globe...)
All in all as any merchant operating on the verge of profits their customer service is virtually non existent.
If you are OK with this there is no reason not to save the extra 20£...

I bought one last time it was posted at £73 and it arrived within a few days with no extra import or handling charges. A chat with Amazon.com (not the UK people) got the special offers taken off at no cost. From my end of the deal they performed well as a seller.

25 Nov 15#15
Don't forget you might be stung for VAT + royal mail admin fee of about £8. Also warranty is practically non-existence since AMazon UK won't touch it unless someone knows otherwise.
I would spend it bit more and get it for £79 from Amazon, John Lewis, or Tesco.
Oh forgot to say John Lewis have 2 yrs warranty too.
