The teddy from last year sells for about £8 to £10 so dont look at it as an "investment"... if you are buying the card anyway then good deal.

Just a little word of warning. If at any point amazon decide to close down your account you will lose any credit that you may have in your account.

the noise recently has been about amazon closing accounts for lots of returns, been talked a lot in misc for the last year and on watchdog the other week

Or in my case 2 returns in the whole year. I have since opened another amazon account but wont be buying expensive items from them anymore that could possibly become faulty.

Amazon has gotten really crappy as of late.
Closing accounts due to returns is a joke. They got in touch with me about it a couple of years ago and very rudely too. Wouldn't have stayed a Prime member unless I got a free month every time they failed to deliver on time.

Huh, I received it and scratching it messed up a couple of characters, tried the number it looked like, did not work. I told them it is better to refund, they send a second one instead (can't complain!), the number now is clear, but it still doesn't work! I'm online with customer service again...
