well the case is 20 and you get a ton of free content for a year and a 2 year guarantee even if the kid breaks it. if it's for a kid then it's well worth it

Has anyone got one of these already? I was thinking of ordering one for my son and I was wondering how they compare to other tablets around the same price.

2-year worry-free guarantee: If they break it, return it and we'll replace it for free. No questions asked (think you can do this 3 times) (around £18.99)
1 year of Fire for Kids Unlimited: Access to thousands of books, TV shows, educational apps, and games, at no additional cost (not sure what this would cost)
Blue or Pink Kid-Proof Case: Durable, lightweight case to protect against drops and bumps (around £15-£20)
with the above you know you are covered (unlike other tables unless you buy warranty/accent cover). also i know this Amazon table is only able to download apps from Amazon store. but what you can do is flash it with android to get the goggle play store on it (takes 15mins 2 do)
also comes with a Kids Profile on it. (so they cannot access adult content from videos to apps)

Yeah, I don't see how paying an extra £35 for the extra bits is worth it either.

Thanks,it's definitely a good price for everything you get with it, I'm just a bit worried that I might not be clever enough to flash it because I've never had to do it before!

Perhaps a daft question but still get YouTube on it? It's all they do. Watch minecraft videos on YouTube

Im still deciding between this and the £35 one. You can actually make the £35 version work exactly the same as this one.
However factor in that the Fire For Kids Unlimited subscription is £3.99 or £1.99 (if you are a Prime member) then you are looking at £47.99 or £23.88 respectively, which takes it near the £60 mark, so I guess it depends your own view of whether the case and warranty if worth the extra £10.
This one includes 1 year of subscription to Fire For Kids Unlimited in the price, so bare in mind you have to pay for the subscription after 12 months

Good point on the subscription but I decided using the service for 12 months was worth it, then it can be used as a normal tablet.
YouTube I think you have to allow as an app from the adults profile. Same with a normal video player for films from sd card.
Google play store can be added I will find a how to and link.

if you have a Prime sub already, then perhaps the £35 one is better value; but i dont hence opting this route; completely agree on the logic. Case is pretty decent too though - and that swung it for me

I found this for getting Google Play working on the tablet. I have tried it and I am not responsible if it bricks it! Feedback if it works would be great though! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-glxYTY8O8
