No, Iranian dates are always unsweetened. They have a smooth dry velvety skin and do not stick together. There is no sticky disgusting glucose syrup covering them. They are delicious.

Firstly, you need to update your facts. Israel doesn't exist, its stolen land. Saudi Arabia doesn't force their women to cover completely. it seems you need to do some research. Its their free will to wear these clothes, and its their choice. I agree that there will be less crime in Saudi but because the punishment is so severe , that's hardly unexpected is it? It doesnt mean you have to be part of a religion/sex/country to comment on it. If israeli soldiers commit crimes they should be punished for them,but it isnt all one way with palestinians attacking israelis and launching rocket attacks against them. Saudi only allows islam to be openly practised ,christianity is forbidden except in houses. no symbols of any other religion are even allowed to be worn. contrast that with a western country which allows open and free worship of all religions.

2) travel wherever they want to without needing permission from their male 'guardian'
3) vote for whichever political party they want to
4) dress as they please
5) have a career and be on equal standing with men in the workplace
6) choose to worship whichever god they choose, or none at all.

None of these rights/liberties are available to Saudi women and you say they are not oppressed?

No Ray I am not being abusive. But you should perhaps reread what you have written and then reflect on the concepts of reason, balance and propriety. It's a post about dates on a consumer forum. You have chosen to go off on a rant. Additionally you have done so in an unreasonable manner. Finally what you state is not fact and nor is it balanced. To the occupied population, Israel is perhaps not quite the Democracy one envisions when one conjures up the word staring up at the ceiling, sat in chilly Bromsgrove, on a cold December night. And your choice of country as a yardstick to salvage Israel, i.e. Saudi Arabia is nonsense. It's like "oh I prefer to buy heroine off him cos at least he is nice to his Mum". Both regimes are part of a problem that is continually causing strife in the region and beyond. They both murder and carry out illegal actions that would disturb most reasonable people.

Now perhaps you may be minded to start a course of adult education. In Britain we have a decent set-up at reasonable prices and times to suit your lifestyle, around which you can build your course of self study. This will perhaps assist you in understanding the world around you, how it works, how it is changing and the whys and wherefores around many contemporary subjects.
