I got mine (signature edition) for £99 - a deal posted on here a few months back. For that price it's worth it however anything more than £150 is too much IMO.
Windows 10 upgrade was straight forward enough although a couple of workarounds were required. The issue is down to a lack of space.
My main niggle with this machine though is that it's top heavy so the machine tilts back when the screen is tipped back too far.

There are issues upgrading this to Win10 using automatic Get Win10 App. Automatic upgrade will fail due to limited amount of disk space. So to upgrade this device easiest solution is to create a Win 10 USB using MS media tool and do a clean install. As you have not actually done an upgrade instead a clean install Win 10 won't activate. On the new machine just get MS technical support on chat, they will take remote control of your machine verify the BIOS Win 8.1 key and then supply a new Win 10 key and activate windows. Win 10 drivers can be found on Acer Support site for this model can be installed. That's it.

the way the upgrade was done on hukd was a ruddy nightmare of otr/blahblahblah/download this, mirror that, etc. i did it by attaching an external drive and changing download settings to that portable drive... did it in about an hour by pressing the microsoft win10 button... PLEASE, don't read the nerdy tech way of doing it... aside from that, the touchpad has a rattly feel when you press it, the thing is somewhat underpowered and hates bluetooth headphones for video play (in truth, it struggles, at least with me, with multiple chores running in the background while playing or streaming video concurrently, with the audio fading in and out... don't know if that's as you'd expect or just me with abberrant settings). that said, it's cute, the screen is great and the mag catches that connect the screen are sweet but feel a little like trapezing without a net so you tend to treat it a little more carefully, at least at first.
it's nice but not sure i'd pay 180 for it, however much amazon are charging (incidentally, why do people quote the most expensive price rrp they can find as a comparison? it's such a random way of 'proving' a bargain.)

I only had to navigate to the site where it allowed me to make a copy on to a memeory stick and then it give me the option to upgrade, so no need to call MS. However the chew was to unlock the bios to detect the memory stick.

Not cheap enough at £180. For the issues this machine has it's ok for £100. Also Microsoft store are one of the worst companies i've had the misfortune to deal with.
They lie about the spec. It does NOT have an SSD, it does NOT have windows 8.1 64 BIT (its 32 bit), and it's NOT hassle free returns as you have to search around for a ups place to take returns to. I'd also argue about windows 10 compatibility because for true compatibilty you should be able to update from the pop up rather than jump through hoops. The issue isn't lack of space it's more to do with how acer have partitioned the drive which makes the update crash. When i went on site to point all this out, they told me i was a liar, even though i then linked them to the exact model number on the acer site they still continued to tell me it was a different one.
The machine is top heavy, the touch pad not only rattles but mine seemed to of sunk down into the case and you had to press quite hard on it (which is why mine went back).
The good points are i found the screen to be clear and bright, and the extra storage option under the keyboard could prove useful (but the cable is about £15). It would also counter the unit being top heavy.

i upgraded using an external hard drive... attached via usb. what can i say? it's what i did, after a failed attempt without any additional space. i have no idea what a clean install means but, as i'm not jesus nor bill gates, i'm assuming that what i did was absolutely the way to do it. the process even showed me how to delete 8.1 also...

9 Dec 15#39
Did you get yours from the same batch microsoft store were selling for £100? Because from that batch there wasnt 1 person that could do it. The recovery partition that acer installed made the whole upgrade process fall over which means however you do it unless everything on the drive is formatted first it's impossible to do.
Some of us even managed to make enough space on the drive to install without a lack of space error!
Perhaps MS sent us a batch with that issue and thats why it was cheap. Perhaps Acer have since fixed this issue.

mine was from that batch... still waiting for the 100.00 but got the 1.67 so far. i panicked at the laborious process on this site and spent a couple of hours trying to get microsoft support to help, asking if they could point me to an official method... then gave up with them and just tried it with my seagate portable drive, changed download location to that drive and pressed the win10 upgrade button. kept an eye on it and don't think i did much, beyond delete temp files after it finished. i really don't think i did anything clever. in fact, i was considering just leaving it on 8.1 because the process detailed on here just seemed like nerdy showing off, in retrospect.

9 Dec 15#42
I tried doing the external drive method, the usb drive method, the microsd card method, the freeing enough space on the original drive method. All fell over when the win 10 files were installed and it tried to boot (which comes down to the acer partition on the drive).
The way you say you did it, is the way all windows 10 compatible machines without enough internal storage can be done. It's very simple and straight forward.
I've upgraded enough machines to windows 10 to be 100% sure there was nothing i was doing wrong and the fault was with the way the acer was originally set up.

I have one of these and it's good but not £180 good. There have been similar hybrids on sale for £130-£150 recently. This has a bigger screen but is very heavy compared to the others. Ha the UEFi boot on the memory stick. They are quite easy to create once you know how. I backed up windows 8.1 onto a spare memory stick and then I downloaded windows 10 from Microsoft (not from update). Installed windows 10 onto my miix3 from a usb stick. It ran windows 10 from the memory stick but this just overlays windows 10 and keeps windows 8.1 on the recovery drive taking up valuable space. Note this is not a clean install. To make a clean install you need to do the following.
After installing windows 10 as above you can now create a windows 10 recovery disc. If you go to settings, back up, recovery you just need to follow the instructions on screen. You will need a clean usb stick as it will wipe it clean. Your windows 10 recovery will be copied onto the usb stick and it will create it as a UEFI boot which means you can boot from the usb in the bios. The good thing about doing it this way is it will create windows 10 recovery including your programme key, the drivers to run windows and it will not copy all of the computer manufacturers rubbish which you don't need.
For anyone who wants a step by step way of doing it I can post it but it is quite easy. This way you will delete the windows 8.1 recovery partition which takes up about 5.6gb space. For anyone who's loaded windows 10 on their mini laptops check your drive in disc management. If its still showing 5.6gb in recovery you have still got windows 8.1 hiding in your drive taking up valuable space.

I downloaded windows 10 32 bit for my miix 3 and 64 bit for my wife's acer using my macbook pro. I transferred the download file over to usb drive. On the miix 3 it would let me transfer the file over and I installed windows 10 from the desktop. My wife's Acer wouldn't install from the stick this way and I had to copy the files over onto a dvd disc and ran it from there. It just wouldn't open the file from the desktop of the Acer but it would run it from the dvd drive. Not sure why this was but obviously these were not a clean install. I have since created a proper windows 10 recovery disc for both of my machines as mentioned in the post above and then re-installed windows using this method which deletes the previous recovery partitions.
