showed them the copy card and screen shots from the site but they said they didn't know anything about it and they couldn't do it without a barcode. They were very busy so didn't stay for something to eat. I've sent email to gourmet and waiting to see what they say. It was Monday night.

Definately should have counted then. They do not need to scan a barcode, there should be a pre-set on their till that deducts 50% off the food bill. I would advise going back and expressing your concerns that they should have deducted it for you. Aim for a free meal :wink:

Hi furthermore.. I went myself tonight to the Flaming Grill and they would not give me it either. Some T&CS which are not on the above state the 50% cannot be applied on bank holidays and other special occasion days and between the 18th of December and 3rd of January. I tried to get it as it did not say on the site on the above but they said that the option on their till is completely blocked off. Best bet is to wait until new year and try after the 3rd of Jan. All the best.

Update,
Flaming Grill have put out T&Cs that the 50% cannot be used between the 18th of December and 3rd of January 2016. I went recently and they said that the option is completely locked currently. Therefore go after these dates and they should be able to knock 50% off between Monday and Thursday. If it does not work request to see the duty manager as they should be aware of this offer.

Sometimes places could be funny saying you should book and quote "Gourmet Society" however the majority don't care. See the pic below, they should have offered 50% off food as long as it was between Monday and Thursday. I would suggest going back and asking for the duty manager, explain that you should have got the offer as a Gourmet Society and negotiate yourself a free meal for each person who originally went as they should have accepted the card:

Use it as many times as you wish.. Can buy for as many people as you want as well. Normally the card bearer has to pay all the bill but if you have a decent grill you can pay off lumps on card and some cash etc.
Also I have used it to buy mains then seperately went up again to buy desserts so yes it can be used more than once per day.

This is an incredible deal for me. Got a Flaming Grill at the end of my street, the only one in Glasgow! Now when my boyfriend has a munch on I can take him out for a fancy trash can lid style dinner for A TENNER.

HOT!!! Just avoid their beef burgers. Maybe it was just on my local pub but the last time I went there the burger was just disgusting.
