I just flicked through to last years deal on here and I think you're right it probably was the best deal if you don't plan to spend much but I'm pretty sure last year they released a few more different samples as the day went on, I swear I made about 4 different orders last year and each time the samples changed, going to give it a few more hours and contemplate more spending!!!

Spent an hour faffing about looking for stuff and realised that the samples are gradually changing so if you spot something you really want in the selection complete the checkout before it vanishes!

They did remove one of my samples as I was purchasing it and got on to them via live chat. They added a note to put it back into my order but would be sent separate and could take up to 14 days for that.

Point being people are paying £20 for eyeliner purely because they are getting mini samples, its not a deal unless you managed to grab those £6 cloths earlier OR you actually shop at Clinique generally anyway

Its a deal because your getting something extra that you wouldnt normally get. From reading the posts on here a lot people do regularly use this brand, I know my wife does. So if I can buy her something she wants, while getting her some other stuff to try from a brand she likes its a good deal. The actual samples are a decent size and of a pretty high value considering they are free. You could argue that people buy a lot of stuff they see on here that they don't or normally wouldnt buy anyway.

I echo these comments precisely, it's mascara my wife uses anyway, I've not long had a 3rd operation on my spine, so shops are a real struggle, free delivery and freebies. This is a real deal for me. It may not be if someone does not use these cosmetics.

Thanks OP , I love the Clinique soap and decided to get the mini soaps as the large ones tend to go a bit manky after a while after being left out for so long as they last ages! :wink:

So these will last for ages and will have 2 fresh ones to use at home as am not going to use them for travel but as a little daily treat on the side of my wash hand basin , very pleased , but not many samples left and would have loved a chubbie!

The samples list changes every now and again. I have seen the mini chubby stick come in and out of the list.....same with the 10ml Serum......same with the sculpture mask.

I don't know what the timing is for the change (every hour but not on the hour?) but some items have remained on the list all evening.

You might find the mini chubby is back before midnight but if it remains off the list don't feel too dismayed. I got one free on the front of a magazine and found there was so little product inside it more or less vanished in a very small period of time. The lipstick I got free lasted much longer.

I suppose a lot of posters don't always grasp the concept of HUKD which is to give heat when a deal is good based on the deal on offer, rather than use it as a tool for their own subjective views.

For example, if a Jaguar XJS was being offered for £30,000 instead of £40,000 then you would expect it to deserve some heat. But if it turned out that they are always £30,000 then you might expect someone to notice and mark it is as cold.

But to give it "cold" because someone believes they are overpriced, gas guzzling, symbols of ostentatious wealth and vanity or because "what's wrong with a bike" is pointless because it is the DEAL you are voting on and not your subjective view of what the item constitutes.

Some people might think paying £15 for a bar of soap is vain but there's no need to vote the deal cold because of a subjective viewpoint, however valid that viewpoint is.

I am careful with my money (hence my dismay at still not getting my cashback tracked for my 2 orders) but this deal offered superb value for money for me as I will be getting 2 full size products and 10 very high quality samples for less than £3 each. And if the darn cashback tracked it would be even less :smiley:

You have to remember that everybody isn't the same and people will spend money on items that others will think are a waste of money etc,for example you have posted a deal for a coffee machine,others may say why spend money on that when you can buy cheap jars of coffee,it's all relative.

I was not rude, I believe that people who spend £20 on soap are vain it is an opinion shared by many others too. I had the dispatched email yesterday. It may depend on what you bought and availability. If they've had a run on the cheapest main purchase items perhaps they are being held up. I've just been on live chat as both mine and my daughter's orders had an item missing. I was told they were subject to availability and they wouldn't be sending anything further.

I orders first thing in the morning, the chat button was there when I went into the customer services section on an iPad. Do the samples appear on your order history online/email confirmation? I haven't picked my parcel up yet but have nothing on these and I'm a bit concerned

I ordered first thing in the morning of the OP and no despatch email yet. A friend ordered lateral in the day and has received exactly what he ordered. If my items arrive with goods missing I shall open a dispute with my credit card company.

I ordered mine in a rush as soon as I saw it posted, intending to order more later by which time the cloths were out of stock. My complete order was delivered promptly and I'm so pleased with it that I then ordered the Estee Lauder equivalent that was posted. What great deals these are. I've bought them as gifts but can't bear to give them away! Thanks for posting tbis deal

Picked my order up today. No samples at all and what I had ordered arrived with the box crushed as it was just in a Jiffy bag. Very unimpressed.

Chased mine up yesterday as no dispatch email and order showing as 'order in process'. Discovered that it had been dispatched and UPS were suppose to give me a tracking number! After numerous phone calls, tracked my order to the shop (C&C) and it was about to be returned to Clinique. Went to pick it up and took 20mins to sort out the tracking etc. Clinique CS apologised to me via email but I've just seen that I am missing a sample too....Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturizer Mini. Not on my invoice. I've asked CS to escalate my complaint about no dispatch emails or tracking emails. Seems I am not the only one with this problem.

Did you pick click & collect as your delivery option? If you have, give the shop a call. It might be due to go back any moment so the quicker you act the better. Phone them tomorrow 0800 054 2666 as it is Customer Services who deal with it.

Hmmm nothing arrived for me , no dispatch e-mail , Paypal taken , but NO ORDER in my order history so I don't know what is going on but am NOT impressed , won't be using them again and will request a refund through Paypal

Have started a dispute with Paypal so I should get my refund soon , it is an unacceptable amount of time to wait and I will not be using them again , not acceptable imo

So after informing them that one of my samples didn't turn up, they've sent me 5 more samples! Hope everyone else got this outcome after complaining :smiley:

That's not good if you've still not received it! I hope they'll compensate you when it does finally arrive
