Doesn't work on the osprey. It only sends texts to proper full numbers, it won't send a text message to a short number which the EE one is I think 150. I tried it earlier in the week.

If only you could continue this after the first month...

Doesn't the Osprey 2 Mini power down its WiFi after a short period of inactivity, and that you have to manually press a button on it to get the WiFi working again? If so that's going to be a massive pain.

The original Opsrey (which I have) doesn't do this and WiFi is on all the time.

But it is two months worth 100 gb each month

From what I understand you have to order the SIM so as you receive it before the 30th Dec 2k15 It then says you have 2 weeks (14 days) to top up the SIM with £10 to be entitled to the 200Gb (100GB X 2 months)

Frick! Just used 10£top up on Christmas sim today. Don't want to spend another 30£! Should have gone for this one.

Getting a dual SIM phone soon to use with the EE SIMS, so not really needed for me, but HUKD wouldn't be HUKD without making you buy things you don't really need.

i've got it to work on my osprey, but I did pop it into my mobile first to activate it and send the text

Mine is also unlocked and won't send 3 digit texts.
The picture is trying to send a text to EE for an account balance.

Just get the Huawei one from iD for £20, cancel the contract (you will have £20GB to use on Three network from iD) and stock the EE card inside. Got it unlocked and works great with EE card inside.

the second 100GB goes on automatically without further top up, on my 3rd promotion sim and never let me down to date.

Afaik you can't set it to always connect i may be wrong but i did look and couldn't see nothing in the setting.

Only £9.99 if you sign up for rolling 30 day SIM that's what I did then cancelled straight away cost £10 for a month with a gig downloads.

EBay unlock only £0.99p too!

Trawling the EE forums confirms the Mini powers down after 30 mins of inactivity. My Osprey 1 doesn't do that. Their is a settings page on the CPW Huwaei one to disable auto power down but not on the EE Mini 2 AFAIK.

Yeah i did look in the setting but couldn't find it..It's a real pain because in my case it affects the mobile phone you have to turn off an on every time the osprey turns itself off.

Where is this deal for 9.99? I see 39.99 on 30 day contracts...

Keep looking for deals on the bigger Oprey or even fleabay. My home broadband/bt line currently has a (2 week old and counting) fault so I can leave the MiFi plugged in 24/7 upstairs where 4G signal is at full tilt (30-40Mpbs).

just picked one of these up, and have a question, ordered a payg 200gb 2 month PHONE Sim which needs activating by 26th December, and my Mifi has the 100gb DATA Sim included, my question is if the included DATA Sim is left unused for the 2 months that I'm using the PHONE Sim, will the 100gb on the DATA Sim still be waiting? nothing on the data Sim suggests that it's already active or that it needs to be activated before a certain date, unless I've missed it?
