had my huwaei y550 (older brother to this) from black friday last year, love it, would take a punt on this if i needed,
dont know why huwaei have downed the upgrade though, battery in this is smaller and this has the 210 snapdragon where mine has the 400,
£40 on the ee site also for the y550, if you like kitkat, think it beats this a bit

i ended up with 5 y550s , gave them all to the family, got my first from CW for £30 BF deal when they were still £100
got one back as missed it too much, just got a blu HD this BF from amazon for £49 down from £99

BUT buy this or a y550, buy uk,

its not that the doogee phones are that bad its where they are bought that should matter
CW, argos and (sold by) amazon are by far the best , with ebuyer and expansys down the peg
also note i didnt include ebay and fulfilled by amazon as they are NO good
FWIW to answer your q this is atleast on par with doogee pro, better most with sense would say
for a few quid it can be unlocked , comes with a UK CE charger and battery that will not blow up,
google UK, not some google US or worldwide junk, UK language throughout, and will not invalidate your house insurance

Not much point in spending £45 just for the hotspot feature when you can bag an unlocked Pixi 3 3.5 at total £20 including £20 EE or Voda top-up @ CPW that will act as a hotspot without issue (that's what I use mine for) http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/phones/alcatel-onetouch-pixi3-3-5/ppay

Alcatel is 3.5G, hence the model name.
raj75
23 Dec 152#33
Really??. Which model name, Pixi 3 (3.5) is 3.5" screen, Pixi 3 (4) is 4" screen, Pixi 3 (4.5) is 4.5" screen...
Model name of 3 3.5 is clearly clever nomenclature, although just to be equally clear for those struggling for explanations: there's only one handest in the box, not 3, and not 3.5 .
dazzadirect
23 Dec 151#37
i think raj75 is asking about the handset variant as is comes in many these include
Single SIM Versions: 4009X/4009M/4009A/4009F/4008A // 4023A, 4023X, 4022X)
Dual SIM Versions: 4009E/4009D / 4022D / 4023D
as you can see there are atleast 12 variants
whilst gsmarena does not list it as supporting HSPA or HSPA+,
alcatels website does
therefore it may resonable to assume (as much as i hate doing it) it might, did yours come from CW or EE direct
if you can check for the numbers i listed starting with 40 above as this could help quantify specs
whilst HSPA+ has a maximum theoretical of about 20Mbps real world speeds will be about 10Mbps
4G LTE can from its theoretical maxes of 150Mbps achieve real world speeds north of 100Mbps
also whilst this phone may support 3.5G the end of the model name ie:3.5 does as raj75 says indicate screen size

Realword speed of the "free with £20 credit" CPW Alcatel 3 3.5 can be over 15Mbps as reported by stn. This eve it's a little lower at 13Mbps+ and a slightly longer ping:
Can't really complain for what is effectively a freebie phone.
Model variant quoted on barcoded sidelabel = 4009X - 2APWGB1, with a logo stating "3G+ 21Mbps" on the longer side of box.
Guys, we've hijacked this thread long enough. If it is to continue, maybe take it to the specific 3 3.5 thread where raj75 has previously been active http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/alcatel-pixi-3-3-5-free-ee-when-buy-a-20-topup-2334737

It says you won't own the phone until 6 months after. Do you have to top up with them for 6 months as its very expensive.
I just wanted to put a virgin sim in. I don't need a 10 top up.
It says you get 10 to spend on google play.
Yes, Virgin SIM will work on this, without need of unlock
SIM comes with £10 topup and 12 months of 500 MB data, which could be worth atleast £15 for someone in need.
Can't find this. can you tell me where it says that?
