Paid full price for this and took my mum and she loved it.
You get the 3 courses PLUS a whole bottle of wine.
If for some reason you don't want/can't drink the wine, you are allowed to take it home, which my mum did.
Very nice food, even if they're not the biggest portions in the world.
My mum particularly liked the getting dressed up and enjoying the whole experience.
You can choose any main upto £28 (i think it was). If you want something extra, like i did, you can pay the difference if you wish.
I paid an extra £5 to have the fillet steak and it was amazing.
All in all a lovely present and a bargain at just over £18 per person for 3 courses and wine at the Hilton on Park Lane.
Hope it helps someone out.
Use code "Happiness25" to get it for this price, until midnight Monday 7th Dec.
This voucher is valid for 10 months.
** ALSO a possible 12% Quidco cashback which would bring this down to £32.34 for 2 people, or just £16.17 each :) **

Seems like an okay deal but I'm not sure about the maths on the site:
So I make that £56 of food with £23 of wine for a total of £79 so I'm not sure where the was price of £132 comes from?
Not knocking it just can't seem to grasp their Maths...

Poorly worded by the website. £28 seems to be the main course price, then starter, dessert on top, probably comes out near that.

Stayed at this very hotel two weeks ago, you would have to pay me to go back. Tiny rooms, bland dining room and very expensive bar.

Hilton just aren't what they used to be, I've been disappointed nearly every time I've been in one recently. Usually the staff are ok, but my last visit was to the Trafalgar and I wanted to rip the bar managers ironic hipster moustache off after he was horrendously rude.

4 Dec 15#13
It's says in the fine print that the meal can only be upto the value of £28 each! Most of the mains are like 28, 30,32 ! That without starter or desert...
Wrong!
The MAIN MEAL is up to the value of £28.
I know as I did this a couple of months ago.
I paid an extra £5, (towards my MAIN MEAL), to have the filet steak .... which was amazing.

Ok I have read what it says, 28 per person for a 3 course, have you looked at that, you may be right but what it says is not what you are saying...28 for 3 course, it does not say 28 for main course..... Sounds like you work for them....#

Hi this sounds great.
For those who have tried this can you clarify if this is what you get:
Any Starter
Any Main up to £28 in value
Any Dessert
Any Wine up to the value of £23
All for £36.75 ?
If this is the case, this surely has to be one of the hottest meal deals around?
magough to 1goodfella
4 Dec 15#24
Yes. I took my mum a couple of months ago, (although didn't have the 25% off code then).
They even let us take the bottle of wine home, as i don't drink it and my mum couldn't have it that night.

This is the fine print on the Buyagift website that seems to be, rightfully, confusing people:
What's included?
A three course meal for two people at The Podium Restaurant, Hilton Park Lane, up the value of £28 each
A bottle of wine to share with your meal, up to the value of £23
Does read as though it's the three course meal that's up to £28 not just £28 towards a main. But people on here have been and say otherwise.
BustyB293 to Scoobyd
4 Dec 15#31
Yes that's what I said.....I don't trust it, as the site says 28 for the lot, not the main. Why would they say that!
exel1966
5 Dec 152#32
For all those knocking this deal/being sceptical about it why not contact buygift to check the t&cs for yourself .........and when you have remember to come back and apologise to the OP :smirk:
winchman to exel1966
5 Dec 15#34
I don't think anyone is having a go at the op, just concerned about what is stated in the terms, not unreasonable to have doubts before buying.
Nobody's knocking the OP at all. What they're saying is that the T&C's say different to what others that have used this deal say. My post quoted directly from the T&C's for this deal on the Buyagift site. Problem is if there is an issue it will be the T&C's clearly written and stated on the site that they will point to and stick to rather than the word of a few people on HUKD who say otherwise.
Perhaps you should check the T&C's to see why some people are rightfully confused and concerned and come back and apologise to them!
magough
5 Dec 15#33
Yes that's right, i work for them.
Buyagift and/or Hilton are SO desperate to make a few extra quid, they hire a secret squirrel to work for them to promote a deal on this website for them.
Got to hand it to them though, they certainly plan ahead seeing as i've been a member of this site for over 7 years
P.S. might be worth adding up the price of a starter, a main and a dessert and also reading the reviews
BustyB293
5 Dec 15#36
Spot on, the terms say different....
BustyB293
5 Dec 15#37
So you are ignoring what the terms say ? As I have stated before? You say it's just the main, the terms say £28 per 3 course.
You just ignore the terms.... Strange. Maybe you should have drunk that wine...

5 Dec 151#45
Yes, the wording is poor within the T&Cs, but if time had been spent looking at the customer reviews below the T&Cs and calculating the original meal value it became clear that the deal was as per what the OP had stated and there's no way it could be anything else as it would be impossible to have three courses for £28.
Also another poster inferring the OP was an employee from Hilton to drum up business is clearly knocking the deal.

Two queries-
Do you have to pay extra for the sides as the mains don't include any and is the 12.5% service charge calculated on the menu cost of the meal which could be as high as £132. Thanks.
The sides are quoted separately from the main meals as follows-

Fine green beans 6
Sautéed baby potato| parsley 6
Tender stem broccoli | almonds 5
Green salad 4
French fries or hand cut chips 4
Basmati rice 4

I used this deal between Christmas and New Year last year after visiting Winter Wonderland and the restaurant was fairly busy (you have to make a reservation in advance). The food was lovely as was the wine and the staff were attentive but not in your face. Bread was brought in the table and included, I had Scallops to start followed by lamb then dessert, the house red wine was really good, if we lived closer to London would definitely go again!
