Simply Rewards is promoted on the Nationwide site. http://www.nationwide.co.uk/support/support-articles/services/simply-rewards/features-benefits

You need to register via Visa's website at: https://nationwide.visaoffers.eu

How it Works
1. Register for Simply Rewards by Nationwide with your Nationwide Visa Debit or Credit Card
2. You will receive relevant cashback offers based on where you spend using your registered card
3. To redeem an offer, simply make a purchase that meets the terms of the offer
4. Your Nationwide Visa debit or credit card will then automatically be credited with cashback, typically within five business days

T&Cs
Cashback is fully funded by Nationwide for Nationwide Visa debit & credit card holders. To redeem this offer, you will need to spend a minimum of £100.00 in one or more online purchases at Amazon.co.uk, which are confirmed as being distributed by Amazon.co.uk^, by email to you, before December 31 2015, including taxes and after any other discounts.

*******

OFFER FINISHED

Haven't got your credit?

Looks like a few folks are getting the customer service shunt from Nationwide to Visa to Visa Europe when trying to find out where their credit is. Don't get fobbed off.

If you think you met the conditions of the offer don't just ring **Nationwide** with a question, OPEN A FORMAL COMPLAINT instead!

http://www.nationwide.co.uk/support/contact-us/make-a-complaint

YOU: "I want to raise a complaint".
Nationwide: Why?

YOU: "I didn't get my cashback"
Nationwide: Talk to Visa....

YOU: "No, because although the Visa Cashback Service is managed, operated and run by Visa it is marketed by Nationwide."
Nationwide: So?

YOU: The banking code says you must ensure marketing is not not misleading. In this case Ive been mislead by your advertising into making a purchase I would not have otherwise made.
Nationwide: errr.......

Not only does this put them on a set timeline to investigate under the banking code, it you play it straight you'll more than likely get a small amount of compensation in addition to the resolution. Kerrching!

If they've also managed to hack the main page of Nationwide, then they probably don't need to try and phish you!

There's no additional T&Cs - so assume gift cards ok.

If your are going to buy a gift card check out Chanci's post.

Or, the 15% off of Amazon warehouse is now working.

This might fair better in the deals section - but mod removed as a duplicate.

This step by step guide may be useful to someone, especially those who may be skeptical about clicking on the links provided by others;

1) Log into your Nationwide account.
2) On the screen that shows an Overview of accounts look to the right hand side for an image of a gift parcel.Below that it says 'View now' click here.
3) On the next page 'My offers' it has 5 images. The one bottom right says 'Cashback on brands. Simply rewarding' below that it says 'Tell me more' click here.
4) On the next page 'Cashback on brands. Simply rewarding', below the image of a bearded man it says 'Register for Simply Rewards' click here
5) Enter your email address. It will email you a link.
6) Find the email, click on the link within the email and enter your Nationwide Visa Debit or Credit card number and postcode and set a password containing at least one capital letter and a number.
7) Once you have submitted this form you should receive another email confirming registration successful.
8. Now you can go to step 4 and this time click on the option about 2/3rds down the page in the grey bar called 'Already registered? Log in' click here
9) Enter the email address and password you created in steps 5 & 6.
10) This logs you into the available offers hosted by nationwide.visaoffers.eu
11) Look to the middle left hand side of this page and you will see a picture of an Amazon parcel. Click this image.
12) This will open a new page which says £25 back from Nationwide when you spend £100 or more at Amazon.co.uk there is a red button labelled Redeem on retailer site now.
13) At the Amazon.co.uk page, enter in the search box 'gift cards'. This will present all gift card options. Scroll down to near the bottom of this page and find the teddy bear - free with £100 gift card. Add to cart.
14) Ensure that your Nationwide debit/credit card is registered to your Amazon account. Proceed to checkout, ensuring that your Nationwide card that you registered in step 6 is the actual card used to make payment.
15) 5 working days from purchase you should receive £25 credit back to your Nationwide account. You can then use the £100 Amazon card for whatever you like on Amazon over the next 10 years.

Amazon took £100 when I checked out, & my NTWD statement debit should of shown £100, not divided into £19.99 here £30 there on all for Amazon goods, Of coarse this made my purchase not qualifying for offer,
googleboogle to Care151
21 Jan 16 #1296
But it was a visa promotion not Amazon. It was always a risk buying seperate items. As Amazon can bill randomly. Hence people advised buy gift cards for £100. Then buy other items with said gift cards.

Amazon took my £100 for all goods I ordered, but the processed payments split so I never qualified for the £25. there attitude was TUFF WE DONT KNOW OF ANY OFFER & NTWD was just as bad, So I reported it to Nationwide that the payments were not recognised, so I got a charge back. I then got a nasty email off AMZ saying no more items would be sent from my account until payment was made, am I bothered? but not had any problems getting my orders in OH name but same payment card in my name used

I've not received my cashback, complained to both, been fobbed off by Nationwide, and my complaint to Visa has apparently been escalated but in reality ignored as the last I heard from them was 10+ days ago and 2 further emails I've sent requesting an update have been ignored. It's awful service. If they're not going to pay out then they I'd like to know at some point this year so I can attempt to get a refund from Amazon as I bought a gift voucher that remains unused.

I eventually got my £25 from Visa after a huge exchange of emails. My advice is to raise another support call with Visa and copy and paste all of the previous exchanges you have had with them as it looks like they have decided to close your initial complaint. As ever with complaints, get everything in writing and stay polite but very firm. I was able to give them the exact time of my order with Amazon (from my browser history), as they initially informed me that I had ordered before the offer was valid. Eventually they agreed that I had ordered within the offer period, however my cashback was not valid as they accused me of only ordering because I had seen the offer on HUKD! I explained that a friend of mine had received her cashback and she doesn't even recall visiting the Visa offer site! They will give you the runaround, but stick at it. Alternatively, as you say, see if you can return the gift voucher unused.

Nationwide eventually wrote back to me to say that they were also investigating my complaint. But that may take some time.

Good luck!

Trying to get my £25 from Nationwide/Visa for my Amazon purchase. They first of all said I didn't qualify as I was invoiced by Amazon on the 6th and the offer didn't start until the 11th!

Now they are saying that I must have learned of the offer on HUKD without seeing it on the Nationwide/Visa offers page, therefore I do not qualify

Like all cashback sites, these so called rewards are NOT guaranteed.. Shame on you Nationwide!

I registered the card before 16th Dec 2015. My advice is that if you are not bothered with £100 tied with amazon, then go for it as it is still your money. For all the people taking moral high ground as the A company not paying enough UK tax, then you will be better off get away from HUKD!

I used the Contact Us on the Simply Rewards website, then resent their email as another query a week later.

When still no response, i contacted N/Wide via their website as a customer complaint.

Since then, Visa (Simply Rewards) have replied and resolved the issue.

Slow, painful process to chase though - needs some work on it to be customer friendly.

Hi slex88, I can confirm I've registered my 3rd and last card on 17/12 and I didn't see offer on simple rewards website but on 18/12 I've bought £100 gift card on amazon and I've just received confirmation of £25 Cashback, so I think it should work for you too

Hi slex88 in my opinion unless you saw the offer on your rewards and clicked on it I would be very doubtful. However I may be wrong of course so if you can afford to do it and not rely on the £25 ,have a go. I spent £350 on Amazon in 3 goes to make sure I got my £50 but as they last up to 10 years I can afford to do it and use when I need to.

There was never a requirement to click through from the Simply Rewards site, it's tracked by Visa watching for your card being used for payments to Amazon. Visa have no knowledge of when an order is placed. Provided you've registered your card and the offer's shown by 17th, and payment is taken by 31st, placing an order now should be fine.

Finally got an email to say I have received my £25 cashback on multiple purchases. Still awaiting reply to my email, but I am happy now. Do you think we were all being impatient, or do you think they have had so many complaints they have had to update their computer system to pay out on multiple transactions! I think you're right. I've been banging on about them not keeping to terms and conditions, but htey did say "one or more purchases" rather than "one or more transactions/checkouts". I did multiple checkouts which I now realise never had a hope of succeeding, so I ordered a £100 gift card yesterday. However, multiple purchases in the same checkout which have been split should be honoured eventually if enough complaining is done to NW.

Just easier for me to get more gift cards as I use amazon quite a lot anyway.
faddy54
18 Dec 15 2 #1214
"one or more purchases" is the wording in the footnote of the newsletter emailed out yesterday by NW. My guess is that all along their intention was to pay out only on multiple purchases in a single order (and that Visa have no mechanism for keeping a running total of transactions), and that the problem arises from both their sloppy wording and their failure to realise that Amazon may separate out payments for items in a single order.
googleboogle
18 Dec 15 #1213
As long as it shows a transaction over £100 from Amazon eu it shouldn't make a difference should it ?

It was always a risk making multiple purchases over £100 incase it got split billed

Logged in after a few hours and my egiftcard had been processed (i.e. sent).

Not been received yet in the email account I sent it to but will give it a few more hours.

egiftcards are meant to be easy but it makes you realise how things can go astray. I didn't get anything about the offer being extended to the 31st but at least I have made to 17th as my order date.

17 Dec 15 #1182
Just out of interest is it showing in your "orders". Then you do at least have proof that you placed it prior to the deadline as I notice another post said it took 9 hours for their e-giftcard! But maybe Amazon are now getting overwhelmed if a Nationwide newsletter is also promoting the offer.

It is over an hour now and so I am feeling very impatient. I have left my order to the last minute (17th December) thinking it would all be done and dusted instantly as it is an egiftcard.
bemad
17 Dec 15 #1173
The way I read it was that orders had to be placed by the 17th December but - obviously - it can take a few days to actually charge and deliver an item so they have added 2 weeks to allow for that.

Of course most orders will be done and dusted on the day - especially for "Prime" members.

Anyone know how long it takes to deliver an egiftcard? It says 5 minutes but anyone had to wait longer?
Bookworm123 to bemad
17 Dec 15 1 #1177
I would agree with you about the offer expiring tonight but the extension is to allow for orders to be despatched and be charged.
I got a couple of e-giftcards. One of which took slightly longer than the 5 minutes. I did get a little worried - impatient as I am, but all was ok. It was only minutes longer!

17 Dec 15 1 #1175
I know what you mean in terms of what's on the Simply Rewards site, but the headline statement in the newsletter implies it's live until December 31st. It's also rather strange to have an offer as your headline newsletter article if it's going to expire in a matter of hours
bemad to stenard
17 Dec 15 #1176
If you are going to place an order I would do it today (17th) as that's the expiry date.

I just got the Nationwide December Newsletter email an hour or so ago. The headline banner on that is advertising the Simply Rewards Amazon offer, so it's clearly still live. I can confirm what most have already found out.
ordered £100.00 vouchers 6/12. amazon split into 50/40/10 for payment and basically I got nothing from rewards. instead of messing about and getting annoyed at various CS I have made another order for £100.00 vouchers on 14/12 and my reward has been confirmed tonight.
previously on other 3 cards each purchase has been £100 and no issues at all so the use of the phrase "purchase or purchases" really should just be "purchase".
I have no doubt the reward will be paid to everyone who spent £100 eventually but I couldn't face the hassle of the chase.
good luck to all, thanks OP and to confirm....4 cards, 4 registrations using 4 email addresses and 4 refunds of £25.00.

I sent two enquiries to them, one got answered within 3 days (regarding use of multiple cards), but the missing transaction claim got stuck for good (5 days and counting). What I have noticed is that they have received 1706 new tickets in two days (time between my two submissions) and I really doubt this will be answered in time (by 17th). So I may just bite the bullet and buy a single £100 gift card to just get this deal and will use the credit some time next year, even though I have spent £120 on goods already...

I am thinking about doing the same. This deal is turning out to be a damn nuisance.

I bought a 99.99 nespresso machine and added a 1p sim card as an add on item to total 100ukp. Fine, I thought, Amazon wouldn't send an add on item on its own that I paid 1p for....

oh but they did. They sent that first. My coffee machine was dispatched a few days later, but arrived much quicker than the sim card. Coffee machine is meant to be a Christmas present but it has a gaping hole in the side of the box (out box is undamaged) which means the Amazon warehouse handler didn't do his/her job properly. Machine is currently out of stock so wondering whether to refund or just keep, since the machine itself is fine.

ok end rant

Exactly what I did. Spend £138, split by Amazon into 5 transactions - no cashback tracked. Bought 10x£10 gift card package cashback tracked the next day. Overall I thought it less hassle than raising an enquiry - but it's really annoying that having met all their terms and conditions I didn't get the cashback on the initial purchase. It's Amazon who have benefited from all this even though Nationwide fund the cashback, as I've had to spend £238 with them.

The whole thing is a shambles, they cant even honour their terms and conditions! This is the first time I have used simply rewards, could be my last! I understand that quidco and cashback is never guaranteed but this is clearly stated as being a total spend before the offer end date. As previously stated they do not know what you purchased, it is just an Amazon debit totalling £100, so gift cards should qualify, as has been proven on those people that purchased a £100 voucher. I'm not happy!

Contacted nationwide direct today as my £100 purchase of gift cards had not received the cashback. The £100 is showing as £70 & £30, 2 transactions. I argued the case with them firstly about the fact that it was one transaction and secondly that in any case the offer says £100 purchase in one or more transactions. They failed to see my point either way and said regarding 2 transactions instead of 1, take that up with amazon and on the second point they were insisting that it had to be one single purchase and then they fobbed me off and said there was nothing they could do anyway as it is a visa issue, try emailing them !!!!! aaarrrgghh.

The reason people made multiple purchases is because the t&c explicitly state this is ok. Those same t&c also state cashback is paid after amazon confirm the item is DISPATCHED, which would appear to rule out possibly e-cards (though email is dispatch?) and certainly account topups.

Now, I know those two methods work, and they work very well. But they are on shakier ground versus multiple purchases, which may be why some people tried those. After all, if amazon got tired of it being used for a rush of online topups, they could theoretically have stopped those from working for the offer.

Hopefully Nationwide will pay out on the multiple purchases adding up to £100 as it seems to be o.k. in the T&C, but I'm not really sure why people are still taking the risk. Why not buy the £100 gift card, which hasn't failed to result in cashback, add that to the account and use that to buy the goods they want. Seems daft to do anything else.

Even easier to just Top Up your account with £100 rather than use gift cards. I can confirm this results in the £25 being paid OK.
Why have people not done this before making multiple purchases??
Note though that it may not be possible to top up your account and then buy gift cards- although I stand to be corrected

I order 10 x £10 gift cards (not pack) on 8th Dec. Payment was taken on 10th Dec in form of 10 x £10 separate payments, even though I only made one order. 'Redemption History' still showing nothing so just sent them a message asking when I can expect cash back. It appears from latest posts I am stuffed, even though I have meet all requirements within T&C, ie £100 spend in one or more transactions.

Just tried to open return via Amazon, but can't even do that, so would be great to hear how others have returned their gift cards please? Can't recall who it was (so many pages now), but they said they were able to return for free, then simply re-ordered 1 £100 gift card.

Moral of the story is, play it safe, just order at least one item that cost £100 (or over) so everything tracks automatically. Maybe they will still pay out, so will have to see what they reply with, but by the sounds of it, it will be a case of the 'blame' game...'no sorry you need to speak to Visa - no sorry you need to speak to Nationwide - no sort you need to speak to Amazon'.

My own fault really as should of just got £100 gift card, but having never purchase one before, I didn't realize until just now that when you redeem it, it gets added to a balance, so you don't have to use it all in one go like you would if spending in high street. Too keen, too greedy to get my mitts on 'free' money

On the face of it, this offer ought to of been simple - £100 spend = £25 cash back! But, between Visa needlessly over complicating matters in T&C with the ref. to multiple purchases will suffice etc and, with Amazon's infinite ability to throw a spanner in the works with this offer, this whole deal has been as clear as mud! Do you think they're in it together? LOL I'd love to know how much Amazon has made on the strength of this deal. I'm feeling a tad embarrassed myself as its such good offer I have spent £190 chasing after this illusive £25 . The offer kicked of my OCD and before I knew what was happening I was after it like a gambler chasing his losses.

I think these jokers need teaching a thing or two about terms and conditions. Not only for the split-order problem reported above, but because if I order "fulfilled by amazon" items and they are confirmed as being dispatched, by amazon, then I expect those to be honoured as well - not bounced because it is deemed "amazon marketplace" even though bought, as requested, on amazon.co.uk.

Is tonight or tomorrow the last day for ordering? I have been caught out by the marketplace con, so need to top up my order - but am not sure if I can still do that tomorrow, and whether a small gift card topup will work as seems to ahve been reported by most people

What you need to do is login to virgin webmail go to settings --spam and change it to send spam to spam folder then go back on nationwide rewards and get type in your email again so it will send you another email which you can then get in the spam folder

Some info for anyone who spent over £100 in anything else but Gift Cards... I have myself placed an order totalling £125 in mixed goods, some sold by Amazon, some fulfilled by Amazon. I wanted to make sure item sold by Amazon themselves total over £100. My order was then split into 4 deliveries. What I have noticed:

If they combine items sold by Amazon and Fulfilled by Amazon in one package, they are all charged under "Amazon UK Marketplace" on your statement.
If only items sold by Amazon are delivered, then these appear as "Amazon UK Retail". The issue is, only transactions which have been recorded under "Amazon UK Retail" seem to be counted towards £100 spent.

Even though I spent over £100 from Amazon Sold and Dispatched range, since some items got mixed-in with Fulfilled by Amazon goods, these appear as "Amazon UK Marketplace" transactions on my statement, meaning they do not qualify (I could be wrong here, but Gift Card transactions come through as Amazon UK Retail and they work fine).

In short: Get Amazon Gift Cards or make sure that 100% of items are Sold and Dispatched by Amazon or you will have trouble getting confirmation through...

Then if you signed up your card with Simply Rewards - used that card on Amazon and they have taken one single payment I can't see why you wouldn't get the cashback. And if you buy for example a £120 microwave from amazon and a £30 toaster from a third party fulfilled by amazon in the same order, and it dispatches at the same time, the full £150 comes up on statement as "Amazon UK Marketplace"

No, I knew we were talking credit cards, my surprise was that additional cardholder would get the same card number. Most, but not all, additional cardholder cards I've had over the years from other lenders have had different numbers from the primary card.

They are 2 debit cards on a joint account. Both have different numbers and were registered with different email addresses. I'm absolutely certain that everything was done correctly.

I will have to contact them in a few days to see what can be done I suppose but people should know that spending on both joint account cards doesn't necessarily have a certain and positive outcome!

Not seen this question answered in the excellent live-FAQ that the OP added to the opening summary (thanks OP, inspired!)

Can joint account holders received the £25 bonus twice, once for each debit card?
merlinthehappypig to gwapenut
11 Dec 15 1 #961
Definitely. We have a joint account with a debit card each, both cards have different numbers. Just make sure you register the card with Amazon and pay with the right one. I suspect some of the failures are where the purchase has been made with the wrong card (almost happened with us as I didn't immediately check)
Bookworm123
11 Dec 15 #960
I have a joint account and both of our debit cards (registered separately and with different numbers) have been successful with this offer. Did you register them separately, i.e. with different email addresses? One card isn't an "additional cardholder" card is it? As that would only be counted as one card - as I am sure you would know.

We've had 5 lots of £25 back now as a family using one credit and four debit cards. Kept it simple by buying £100 physical gift vouchers. The credit card took slightly longer to track and pay, but still less than 5 days mentioned. Debit cards tracked the day following purchase and paid the next day. We have Prime which speeds up despatch which in turn, I guess, speeds up tracking and payment.

Three cards were used with the same Amazon account and the other two cards with two other Amazon accounts.

Thanks to the OP

11 Dec 15 #952
The bottom line is Nationwide/Visa just want you to spend £100 on items sold by Amazon and as long as you do that and have the statement entries to prove that (so £50 plus £50 or £10 plus £20 plus £70) you have done what they wanted.

Nationwide/Visa will have no idea what you have bought or how/why Amazon have charged for the items the way they have. But they will know how much you spent in total and whether it is attributed to the right seller (Amazon rather than a marketplace seller).

So certainly do another £50 to make your total £100. Wait a few days for it all to appear on your statment and even wait for their automated systems to add it all up and give you your £25.

If it fails then make a claim under their instructions. You will have complied with the £100 rule and they will be able to see that.
Speculator
11 Dec 15 #951
If you had ordered the "10 pack" or the 20 pack they can't split it up. I order the 20 pack of £5 Gift cards.

If you ordered £10 of the £10 individual giftcards, they could split it up. If they wanted, they could've sent it one at a time.

You will have to order something else for £100 and a single transaction of at least £100 must show on your bank a/c or credit card statement for the £25 to track.

I have done two Simply rewards offers so far - Argos and Amazon - and both have gone very smoothly.

But I have just done one now - The Works - 18% cashback - which expires tonight at midnight.
My order is for over £50 and I should get just under £10 back.

Trouble is whilst my card is registered with Simply Rewards, the retailer hasn't charged anything at the order entry stage and it will be early next week when they do.

I can see a potential problem for this scheme because whilst I have met the expiry date of the offer it is going to be a few days before the card is actually charged. And Visa offers clearly take the statement date as the point where the rebate is calculated.

Going to monitor this one!

I wouldn't worry. I ordered first on my credit card - never received any email at all but after two/three days it showed in my redemptions and then the following day the cashback appeared in my account. I ordered also on my debit card for which I did receive an email saying I had qualified but nothing further, except it showed in my redemptions and then a couple of days later the cashback was in my account. So I believe the emails are a bit hit and miss. Maybe to do with the popularity of this "reward".

OFFER "ENDS 17/12/15". Yet "Purchased items must be confirmed as being distributed by Amazon.co.uk via email to you by December 31 2015 to qualify." The only date that Visa will know about is the date of despatch, when the card is debited, so there seems to be a contradiction. Probably best to play safe and place orders by 17th I guess.

To confirm for people waiting, I ordered the £150 teddy/vouchers Monday with my Nationwide credit card having just before registered with that card and another email address. It shipped from amazon yesterday and I presume was charged by them yesterday and just got this evening my confirmation email from Simply Rewards of £25 credit. No charge or credit has shown on my online banking though. Im presuming my debit card was the one registered with original simply rewards sign up email address, though Nationwide say they cant tell me. So I may make a purchase that card this time, since I can log in with that email and it still shows the offer available, whereas with the other card/email address the offer has gone to redeemed.

Thanks to OP for posting as I never would have known about the offer without seeing it here.

On another note. Just had an email to confirm third and final £25 cashback. This was on wife's card on our joint account. I had already claimed one on my own card on the same account.

So it appears it just needs individual card numbers and at least £100 spent in total on that card in one or more transactions.

Thanks again. OP £225 for £300 worth of vouchers.

Many many thanks

UPDATE

Just credited all three £100 cards to my account....had a bit of a moment where the last showed as $100 credits to my account, but the credit increased by £100 each time giving me a final balance of £300

yes mate. i even had promotion code so would not let to use it of gift cards. And that makes sense. otherwise you could buy gift card. apply it. use to buy another gift card LOL. I had one code from earlier when different promo was around. bought gift card and received £7 off code for that. But could not redeem on anything but amazon sold goods dispatched by amazon (that means excluding other sellers then amazon on amazon market  ) So just read tc what that code can be used on.

I 'liked' your comment because you took my point on board, but I'm afraid we will have to agree to disagree on what constitutes 'underhand'.

It may be obvious now but a few days ago there was doubt expressed over whether an email gift card purchase would count. £100 physical card went OOS probably due to this offer. I thought it better to order actual items that I wanted anyway spent well over £100 but now find not qualified due to way amazon process payments.

BTW there was no intention to be clever, just to place a proper order in the spirit of the deal.

9 Dec 15 1 #831
This wasn't a glitch or only some offer for the 1st few that jumped on it first. It was a straight up offer for anyone that could comply with the t's & c's so it's not like this person has stopped anyone else from benefiting from the offer.

What they do with what they bought should be their own business surely?

just noticed some members have start to sell their £100 card for £95 in the SALE/WANTED thread here which is against the rules (PROFITEERING)......a little shocked but £20 is £20 I guess...seller has even kept the teddies for himself...something tells me they are not going to charity either. To be honest I'm a little confused at everyone else confusion.

The simplest way to get this deal is to buy a £100 gift card...then it works without ANY problems whatsoever as long as you have a NW debit or credit card and have registered as requested, trying to be clever another way has obviously been causing so many issues...the GC way you can buy stuff at your own leisure without any issues whatsoever

I have a joint current account with NW (with my wife) and we have two debit cards for that account (with different card numbers. Rulandas to sam1970

Register your wifes card with nationwide rewards and you'll see if the deal is there. My understanding is that its Visa offering. Separate cards on same account means separate cards to them. Therefore should not be a problem.

Ive tried this soi will hopefully be able to confirmt his for you soon...

To confirm

I've already bought 2 x £100 cards on two separate cards

One of those accounts is a joint, I've already used my card, tried my wife's card as well..as its a different card number to technically it follows the terms and conditions to the letter, they've reserved the cash for it, should get an email in a couple of days to confirm whether or not I've been successful

I sometimes wonder if these cashback deals are worth the stress. Trying to comply with the sometimes vague T's and C's, worrying if it will track or not, then the hassle of chasing up if it doesn't. Having said that I've done a lot of Quidco, Topcashback, Lloyds on card and of the claims for missing cashback only the AA did not pay out.
cromarty
9 Dec 15 #823
No-one has yet reported that they have even got an email confirming the cashback, if Amazon split the transaction. So although it says that, it appears not to be the case. I stand to be corrected if anyone has had their card charged with several sub £100 transactions totalling over £100 but has got the email.
grimboj2
9 Dec 15 #814
Amazon splits your order based on different fulfilment centres. I spent £200 on Sunday, almost all from amazon itself and it split the transactions so I won't get cashback despite spending nearly double the threshold.
cromarty to grimboj2
9 Dec 15 #815
If you don't, raise a claim. You have met the terms of the deal "one or more online purchases". Not your fault transactions were split. I'm in the same boat but decided to just buy 10x£10 gift cards as suggested by another poster. I'm bound to use the over the next few months and can use on Amazon or Marketplace.
user777 to grimboj2
9 Dec 15 #822
why? it does say: transactions (plural) totaling £100 before given day - no need to spend £100 as a one, single transaction
when your card is charged by Amazon by at least £100 before deadline, you'll get £25 back

just got mine £25 credited today back to my card (although it was single £100 for gift card with teddy)

If you're definitely going to use them on just one account fine, but £10 ones are handy to use wherever you want and also to have in hand for impromptu presents for others.

cheaperbythe12
9 Dec 15 #819
Yeah, agree. Like Jouster says, it's best to get the £100 gift card. I set it up on a Nationwide credit AND debit card using two newly setup simply rewards accounts. Bought a £100 GC and once dispatched bought another with my other NW card (plus 2 teddies so one for niece and one for charity).

Considering the offer is ongoing until 17th (?) December it's best to take your time and spend the £100 on a GC, wait till it's dispatched then buy another one using another Nationwide card if you have one and maximise the offer (i.e. £150 cost for £200 amazon vouchers).
cromarty
9 Dec 15 #817
Look at the order history "Printable order summary" and check how many credit card transactions are listed. In my case, for a £138 order (no gift card) it was five :-(. I ticked group into as few deliveries as possible.

9 Dec 15 #801
Yes it's purchases. However the terms do also state "Cashback will be processed after the last of these qualifying items is confirmed as being distributed.". I ordered £138 of items from Amazon on Monday and they split into several deliveries. No email yet - each delivery is charged separately and the final one sent late yesterday. So in effect each delivery is a different transaction. That message about the last item being distributed must therefore mean "the final transaction" otherwise it makes no sense.

Anyway, I wish now I had ordered a gift card but at the time the £100 one was out of stock and it wasn't clear if email ones qualified now confirmed they do. If the ordered doesn't track the whole thing is ridiculous, only those ordering one large item or single gift cards are likely to get the cashback.

You can't instantly get the £7 on a brand new account, it has to be going a certain amount of time though currently that's only since 1 December.

Can I just ask if you need to type in your post code when you register your card? It didn't ask for name or post code but just card no. Then I saw it says on instruction that you need to register card no and post code.......not sure if I am registered or not? Thx!

No need for the bear so went for the much more useful 10 x £10 vouchers, 3 of them as a Christmas triple pack to get the freebie £7 which popped up on one of my accounts again.

I have 5 Nationwide a/cs, wife has 5 a/cs. Got them when Nationwide were offering 5% current accounts but did not limit it to one per person.

I used 5 different amazon a/cs, same name but I am sure it will work with just the one Amazon account.

In the process of buying my 10th £100 voucher!

Also as expected offer no longer shows in available offers in Simply Rewards account but is now under Redemption History tab. Amazon £25 cashback is still showing as an available offer for the separately registered credit card on the same account.

Nationwide, trying to become a cash-back site now, they can't even tell me what card I registered with easily. Personally I'd prefer they concentrated on being a good B/S instead, something I believe they're not these days.
buckfast67uk
7 Dec 15 #649
Does the enitre transaction of £100+ have to be paid from the Nationwide Visa, or does only a part payment qualify as long as the transaction itself is over £100.

The reason i ask is that i already have a £50 Amazon gift voucher and am wondering if i complete a transaction of £100+ and pay part by Nationwide card and part by amazon voucher, will that be ok?
Bookworm123 to buckfast67uk
7 Dec 15 #651
I don't know the official answer to this, but looking at the terms and conditions for Gift Cards in general on the Amazon site under number (2) - Limitations - it says: ".....Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards." - so from that I might guess that the answer is "no", but maybe t&cs for this offer are different.

7 Dec 15 #644
How can you know which card is registered?
I registered about a year ago or more and don't remember if it was the credit or debit card, the simply rewards site does not tell you what is registered.
I have a terrible feeling my credit card is registered and I paid with my debit so chances are I wont get any cashback!
Bloke to kudos1uk
7 Dec 15 1 #645
There's no way to find out on the rewards website which is a bit silly - some people on the thread have contacted Nationwide to find out. Before I did mine I just re-registered all my cards using different email addresses so I could be sure which to use.

Interestingly, my credit card which I normally use for all my Amazon purchases did not show the Amazon deal on the rewards website.

7 Dec 15 #638
If it is allowing you to resend the e-giftcard that would suggest the purchase has gone through (a resent one cancels the old and sends out a new code).

Does it give you the option to change the email address that is receiving the e-giftcard? You could always give that a try. Obviously don't send it to someone who will spend it.....but another one of your own email addresses.

Not sure, but I have just done an order with some fulfilled by Amazon, some sold by Amazon and it's all been charged in one credit card transaction. So I don't see how VISA/Nationwide could distinguish only the items sold by Amazon. I also ordered some Marketplace items not fulfilled by Amazon and these have been charged separately and come through differently on the credit card statement I think.
