Awful cars, they were originally intended for the more-developing markets (e.g. where they're built, as above) until Ford decided that if ugly stuff like the Juke can sell over here, so can the EcoSport.
still seems a good deal though - i can't find any better for same spec of car.

Hi,
I have never leased before and need some help!! I have clicked on the link and then clicked on the Ecosport, but i am then hit with a load of options! Which is the one that works out at £135 per month? How do they work this out?
Sorry and thanks for any help!

yes its an oil change any garage can stamp the book at 12 mths then service 2 years. I was told no penalty just hand back before 2 years, but we will def get another car on these terms..we reckon its saing us £30 a month in fuel. Got a car thats lovely to drive/park warm and comfy with aircon! All the safety features too. We actually enjoy going out in it x

we have this on lease..i love it. If you hand back less than 24mths you dont pay the service

I take it you mean 2 year service? Is there 12 month service? What penalty if you return before 24 month perio? Thanks

The price has gone up a bit on this over the weekend apparently. it is around 3500 over the term now. I am tempted because of what I have read about the improvements that make this car less of a dog than last years model. Also seems like a decent city car for a tall driver such as I.

Cactus can be nice to look at with the right colours, think the deal only offers arctic steel and no idea what colour 'cactussy bits' they have.

what is the better car out of this car, the Nissan Juke or the Citroen Cactus? Ignore the looks, I mean performance, space, quality, equipment etc? Interested in the HUKD opinion poll. They*re all around £135-50 to lease.

Cactus by a mile. Read the reviews.
Juke (Joke, Puke) is ugly and very small inside.
Ecosport is fairly ugly, third world design and awful.
Cactus is 'challenging' to look at but clever.
£3k is an expensive punt that you'd be stuck with for two years. Test drive one first.

Do you have personal experience of this car? I don't and think I'd take a punt given what else is available at this price point. Just my opinion for what it's worth.

Rented one of these last month in Barbados, for a family of four, car seat, booster seat in back did not leave much room, but for the kids was okay, in the front plenty of room, usual ford interior, the boot managed to fit two large suitcases, one smaller one, a medium size body bag and a quinny buzz pram on the top. So though the boot looks small stacking right can get a lot in. We had the 1.5 Petrol version brand new had done 3000 miles, I put it through some good testing, struggled to get up some extremely steep dirt tracks wheels spinning but never got stuck (the sort you would not take your own car up)
I would say its cheap it was good fun on the dirt tracks going totally off the beaten track, good job the car hire firm dint see where we took it (the good thunder storm the day before we left cleaned the car up nicely) :-) the negative for me was the seat was just uncomfortable we used it daily and covered 600 miles in the two weeks going all over the island.
I would not buy\lease one just down to the drivers seat being so uncomfortable, but this is a good deal heat added

Reviews are some of the worst I've ever read - one to avoid, really!
Ford Europe has turned out some excellent cars in recent years (only the badge held them back) but under the new global strategy (after the company nearly collapsed in the banking crisis) we're going to get some of the rubbish they foist on less discerning parts of the world. Rot set in with the latest Mondeo (again, read reviews) and things like this can only hasten the loss of a reputation hard won in recent years.
Still, at least with a lease you can breathe a big sigh of relief as you hand it back after 2 years of motoring misery.
My C1 is £93 per month and it was my first lease. Now im comfortable with this way of motoring think id pay more and go for something like this next time.

Please read the reviews of these in the specialist press before committing yourself to 24 months of driving misery - these cars apparently drive as bad as they look.

Try and contact the manufacturer directly as in your local Ford dealership, try and speak to the department that specifically deals in lease hire and not the usual salesman, we've just leased a VW TIGUAN and got the exact same lease deal but didn't have to pay the Admin fee, as that's the fee these agent gets. :sunglasses:

I have just inquired about this car. I am totally new to leasing. Is there anything I need to ask like servicing, additional charges etc... Just so I know the exact contract that I would be signing.
Thanks

You will have to get the serviced at least once, probably not twice (from what i can gather). Car tax will be included, remember you will be restricted to 8k miles per year or you will face extra charges. You will be expected not to trash the car and treat it as you would your own, After all it is someone else s asset. If you dont you are liable for charges. Do some research and you may find normal wear and tear is fine.
Personally as long you can deals like this, I will not buy a car again.

Interesting, I'd never even heard of the EcoSport, at first glance I read it as Ford Escort.....
Shares a chassis with Mazda 2, Ford Fiesta and B-Max.
Made in Russia, Thailand, India and Brazil.
I'll be looking out for them, looks like a fun little car.
This version has been made since 2012, the old model pre-2012 looks very different.
Opening post
(32*90) + 358 (admin fee)/24 = £135
Seems ok to me.
