Just a quick update when i went from treviso i used the ryanair bus no issues getting to venice just check the timetable carefully.

Credit to Tripadvisor for that.

I just realised that I only gave a price for a one way journey on the bus/train per person. The following gives you some options. The bus/train is cheapest and easy to do. I've done this myself and arriving into Venice at the train station is there's way. Walking out of the station and seeing the Grand Canal. You will go to Santa Lucia station In Venice.


Treviso airport

Note that many low-cost airlines (such as Ryanair) use the Treviso airport, about 30 km north of Venice - http://www.trevisoairport.it. There is a regular ATVO coach service linking this airport with Mestre and Venice (Piazzale Roma). - see http://www.atvo.it for timetables. The journey from Treviso airport to Piazzale Roma takes around 40 minutes. Tickets cost €10.00 or €18.00 for a return ticket.

An ACTT bus - scheduled service No 6 - takes about 20 minutes to travel from Treviso airport to Treviso station and runs every half hour. Bus fare is €1.40. There is then good train service to Mestre and to Santa Lucia station In Venice. Train fare is €3.30. See http://www.trenitalia.it for timetables.

Another option between Treviso airport and Venice is the slightly quicker bus service which uses the highway and has fewer stops, run by Barzi. It charges €10.00 or €18.00 for a return ticket. It goes to and from Tronchetto in Venice, opposite the People Mover which links Tronchetto to the Piazzale Roma. The People Mover is like an airport train with three stops; P. Roma, the cruise ship terminal and Tronchetto. It takes about three minutes at a nominal cost.

Yeah train direct from Birmingham to airport though times may be difficult. Worth seeing if there are any similar flight prices from Manchester although I suspect may be a bit more.

I went to wroclaw's market last week. despite rainy weather plenty of people visiting the market stalls (see the pics below). I bought some goat smoked cheese and also quite few home made lithuanian hams. Cold smoked - reaaallly nice :smiley: cost around £8-£9 kg, which is a premium price in Poland but still cheaper than UK and well worth it. the lighuanian guy selling it is closer to the stalls with mulled wine.

No, saw them earlier in the week but I'm getting married in Iceland May/June so we are planning that. Leave shortly for Antarctica and got a short trip to Sardina in March but nothing else.
