How long does that ferry journey take on the cold north sea?

All night, but you're asleep for most of it.

I got flights and hotel for £200 for 4 nights in Amsterdam (10th - 14th january). I'd much rather go for four nights and pay £100 each than £39 for 5 hours and the flight is only 80 minutes

I've done this mini cruise 3 times now plus 1 time with a night in hotel. great price the dearest I've ever paid was 40.
people complain about only 5 hours but where else can you go for a city with 2 nights accommodation for 30 quid! would cost me 30 quid just the journey to and from Newcastle!

i went once in the early 90s,a taxi driver was murdered outside our hotel.
Whilst sitting in the bar an elderly man dressed in stripy cotton pyjamas came up to the window looking like something from the Walking Dead, both wrists slashed banging on the windows and moaning.
Next day a beggar came into the bar asking for a handout, the barmaid took a baseball bat to him.
The funniest one was a young guy begging for change, when i told him i only had notes he said thats ok i have change!
An hour later he was trying to sell me drugs down another street.
A very weird place indeed.

Not actually the case, I've just come back from a 3 day break with the Mrs and it's not something you see, it's all kept in the coffee shops, didn't see one drunk either

Could you get this one way? Then fly home after a few actual days in Amsterdam?

probably not, I know with the P&O mini cruises, if you do not sail on your return ticket, they charge you more through your payment details.
T&C's states 'MiniCruises cannot be used as one-way journeys.' but doesn't say anything about what the penalty might be.

Searched a few dates, not got close to this price, and carp booking system doesn't show you cheaper dates near your chosen date so you appear to need to find a deal by blind luck. Can't be bothered, so colder than witch's extremeties

only 5 hours in Amsterdam will put people off i think but not a bad price

and it could be a lot less, there are times when the seas are bad you dock and cant get off, they have to turn around straightaway. Expensive onboard and gets lots of stag dos on them

Entirely agree. We like the mini cruises from Hull to Bruges, but whenever we go to Amsterdam we fly and stay 3 nights. There's just so much to do and see.
