Something cheaper in store compared to online. That's a first with GAME.
I'd snap this up if it were online. Can't be assed going to the store.

Good deal in my book. I could sell the steelbook and credit for around £30 combined on eBay making a year of PS Plus just £20. Might just pick up two
Sony still living off this 20th anniversary stuff? Thought it was its 20th anniversary last year?

Good deal, just bought 12 months PS+......doh. I'm assuming codes can be stacked so if you input 2 codes it will give you 2 years PS+?

You can't use the steelbook for storing another game,it doesn't have the circle inside that holds a disc.Although nice yet useless, worth buying just for the 12 months ps+ and £20.00 credit...

The steelbook might be worth something on eBay but for the mere fact it uses the original fat PS1 as its artwork it's a must for PlayStation fans.

This is pretty much the going rate for Playstation Plus and a £20 PSN voucher. Not exactly that hot a deal. Pretty standard
fattyuk to bumbaclart
12 Dec 15#32
yes but it makes for a nice xmas present
i love reading all the debby downers trying to say "its standard price blah blah blah" when im sure people would like the whole package inc a steelbook esp for xmas as a present
bumbaclart
12 Dec 151#33
That's not saying much, as I am sure most people would appreciate whatever gift they get and tbh there is more to Christmas than presents.
Its an alright deal, not one that deserves 750+ heat. I mean the steelbook is not even usable, just really for display purposes and the prices are standard.

If you want to deal with sellers you know are reputable then £30 is a good deal for 1 years ps plus. I got a physical 1 years ps plus card for £31.86 from shopto and that's one of the cheapest I have seen in recent weeks. Even reputable digital sellers like cd keys and electronic first have been up at £33 for an email code.
If anyone wants to deal with some random joe on fleabay, gumtree or the for sale section who you know sfa about then that's up to them but I won't be doing it so this is a decent deal.
On a general note. Even at £30 it just shows how PSN is such poor value compared to Xbox live which is £19 a year for a much superior service.

It's available for a fair amount less than £30 from a reputable seller, where do you think the guys selling them here for £30 get them from?! I realise not everyone knows of this way so yes I agree with you £30 is a good price, 1000° good? No way!

This really doesn't warrant the 1100+ heat, not sure what the excitement is (ooo just picked up a Flame Deer)
Your saving £2-£4 max, fact you have to go physically into a game store to find which will involve spending money to get there (unless you live near) it's just standard price..

Isn't ps3 network free?
bobcsg
13 Dec 15#56
PS3 is free to play. But you don't get access to the free games or other PS+ benefits.
I have noticed recently how game is becoming secretly affordable in-store. All their pre owned games are 3 for 2 in our local store making them cheaper than amazon and xbox live. Unsure about PSN, but well worth a look. I held off buying my son a game the other day thought it would be cheaper online. Then I got home when you factor in P&P its more expensive on amazon and CEX and was £5 more on Xbox live as a download. So naturally we went back.

13 Dec 15#60
really laughing on the psn deals, especially this one. while xbox gold only costs less than £19 most of the time and xbox credit is cheaper than the face value, ps owner is very happy to get the same thing but pay £12 extra
Lord vader
13 Dec 15#61
At cd keys, using their 5 % Facebook discount you can get 1 years PSN and £25 credit for £53.19 which makes the PS+ £28.19. You don't get a classy tin to save your instantly emailed codes in though.

This is an ok deal (I picked up one at my local shop) but stunned its at over 1300 degrees. Are people just voting hot because for once Game are not ripping everyone off?

This tin looks a lot better than the tin shown on the online picture. But be warned there is no disc holder in this.
because its £30 for a year of ps plus and a £20 voucher plus it come in something which is nice to give as a xmas present rather than a printed out receipt or email code

what exactly would someone put in here thats a disc that they dont already have the case for

So you get credit to then spend back on Playstation. There is too much of this in my book. Put the price down by £20 and it is a good deal.

This.
If you know the person is likely to buy something off PSN then it's obviously a better deal than just buying them the 12 month sub. It's a better looking present also.

Yeah, I factored all those costs in Sherlock. And who posts codes these days? You can send them instantly via PM on Ebay. The post office is a five minute walk away from me too. It's a non issue for me.
Thats not bad, I may just buy that.
Still dissapointing as over £30 though. Can't see anything cheaper on ebay neither :/

Lolz. So basically you're saying once in a blue moon you can find some subscriptions cheap.
And definately not enough to for more than a hand full of people.... Xbox live on the other hand is cheap every day of the year. Oh well
Apogee00
14 Dec 15#81
It's available all year to everyone...and that's exactly why I'm not saying. Just like the sharing Amazon thing got rinsed once shared on here and now they've stopped it.

The deal is this, you get a years subscription for 29.99 which is slightly cheaper than the going rate, plus £20 useful psn credit for some lovely gaming goodies. You can bring these amounts down even more by selling the 'pointless' steelbook case to some anorak on eBay for about a tenner which makes this deal even sweeter. Thanks OP, HOT  oh and plenty stock in both Derby stores for those nearby.
