Nectar has got to be the worst points scheme ever. You kind of forget that it pays a fraction of schemes like boots or Tesco and it's so disappointing when you see you've collected thousands of points only to find out it's worth about £10. Each Nectar point is worth 0.5p.

Spend extra 99p on some crap you don't need to get £1 worth nectar points you can only spend in only few overpriced shops.
Makes perfect sense.

2230 points. It depends where you redeem them as to what they are worth but for shops like argos, sainsbury's & ebay 500 points = £2.50p. See here... https://www.nectar.com/ways-to-redeem

this is insane in combination with black friday I got an expensive laptop (Dell XPS 15" 9550) and my brother bought a phone (Samsung S6 Edge 64gb) - 4000 for the phone and 16000 for the laptop. 20000 Nectar points :O - £100 worth out of nowhere.
Phone was £400, laptop £1600.
Total £1900.
Before black friday - Phone £500(?), Laptop (£1899)
Total £2399.
£499 savings. I also bought a GPU 980ti from Scan for £459 which should be around £100 more. Three things I've been holding back on a good deal for months bought in a couple days.

I've just read the post.
Was going to buy £700+ worth of goods on fleabay.
Perfect timing. Thank you!
Just opened my first nectar account via ebay in just a few clicks.
That is it!
Over 7000 points (£35) already tracked. Fantastic!
Also went through TCB for 1% Cashback. (This is last day!) Lets see how it turns out...
P.S. Just remember, If you are opening a nectar account please log out/log in back to ebay, otherwise it may not work.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! <3

Nice one thanks.....just got new quality Mintex discs/pads/shoes for the car and a nice casio calculator for ds at school for just over £70 (less £30 ebay voucher for selling with them again after a break and less nectar points gained in the trade up offer = free and change to spare). I love it when a plan comes together!

27 Nov 15#57
nectar points almost worthless. Literally in comparison to your time, and the average money/wealth generated by a human vs their time in minutes, you are better off extracting gold from the AIR .
Seriously, the most worthless points ever. I spent about 10 grand with one company that nectar supports and got about 80 pounds in points and of course, only spendable in certain places (like 3 where you would even shop)
Anyway, you have been warned. Ironically tesco points are much better, but its not worth it because they are thieving cats
ST3123 to knowitall5
27 Nov 15#58
Not saying I think they are great, but are nectar points really that much worse than any of the other points schemes (Tesco included)? I find that Tesco points seem to take forever to clock up from purchases and aside from buying at Tesco hardly anything else I do/places I shop seem to offer them. By comparison the Nectar points at least come with some regularity with me being an avid eBay user and I got a decent amount through British Gas too though sadly they are ending that soon (greedy gits).

Anyone knows what happened if I click the link after the purchase?
I just placed the order then clicked the link .
Called customer service, they first said they see normal points then when I talked about the offder, the said they see 10X points, and I asked to confirm by mail, and the lady said she will check with the concerned dept and get back.
There is no way to cancel the order I guess.
Are these ebay customer service guys as helpful as Amazon? Will they honor the nectar my manually adding to prevent cancellation?
