"GOOD"? my "elbow"!
Read the ingredients.
30 odd % chicken ( mechanically recovered)
30 odd % turkey ( mechanically recovered)
Less than 10% pork.
Mechanically recovered means the bits left over that can't be removed from the carcase by hand.
The grotty bits.
I wouldn't feed them to an animal!
Try ALDI hot dogs.
About 84% PORK !
No "gobbly" chicken grot.
No grotty turkey gobbles.
In short ( no sh*t)

Working night shifts over a period of 15 years also appears to increase the risk of colorectal cancer and you don't get the tabloids shouting for the ending of night shifts! I wonder why not?

E numbers aren't necessarily a bad thing, they are probably the most tested food additives in the world and include things like ascorbic acid (Vit C) and oxygen.

Just a note, the IARC is tasked with finding the potential of something being carcinogenic, it doesn't tell you the risk. The media are taking it way out of context imo, it doesn't change current dietary guidelines to limit meat consumption.
Coffee is a 2B carcinogen but sales at Starbucks haven't really fallen! Other things like aloe vera, grapefruit juice and simply being a painter or hairdresser/barber are all classed as carcinogenic.

When your mum had little money these little babies were a god send, Perfect with some red sauce and bread with real butter
NO products can contain any more than 20% MR meat, plus these hot dogs have always had a good mix of chicken and other meats, they are not supposed to be pork!!!
Admittedly they are not the most healthiest product in the world but they won't do you no harm as well as being quite tasty.

Only a Chav would call someone trying to point them towards decent food a "moaner".
OK. you carry on eating sh*te.
Then you will have it in your belly as well as your head.
Sorry I should have put 20% pork meat, plus the ones posted by the op are different as they contain as follows
Hot Dog (50%): Pork (66%), Mechanically Separated Pork (19%)
Why would you let MS food put you off though, it's how they keep the costs down on products like these, if people wanted 100% Pork Sausages then you will pay the premium, but this thread is a HUKD for cheap arsed sausages and these do the job perfectly.

Try reading the ingredients before stating "facts"
If "No product can contain more than 20% mechanically recovered meat" how come Ye Olde Oak's own ingredient list for their "Standard hot dogs" says >>>Hotdogs: Chicken (Mechanically Recovered) (55%),
And if they are "not supposed to be pork", how come they were originally made from pork and beef?
I await your attempt to reply, which, I am certain, will be amusing..
Ronnyuk
28 Oct 15#29
Read my reply above, I omitted the pork statement by mistake, plus before I even looked at the ingredients list most cheap hotdogs always contain other meats as that's the reason they are very cheap.
You obviously don't like Ye Old Hotdogs so why bother calling people Chavy, what do you call "decent" food? in what way is this not decent?
Pluun
28 Oct 15#30
It is not "decent" because not only is it made from cheaper meats than the original, it uses what the industry calls "slurry".
They don't even class it as meat.
You are what you eat?
The "hot dogs" I eat have 84% pork MEAT and 4% pork fat in.
Not slop.
I don't eat at the Ritz.
Or Caviar, Salmon, or other fancy food but I certainly don't " knowingly" eat sh*te!

Turkey twizzlers where full of poo but every kid loved them.
Who about black puddings , blood and fat but still good stuff to eat.
So who cares these dogs are really good , wouldn't recommend them as your staple diet but for snacking when you've got the munchies they're the dogs reclaimed nuts
