500 arm movements in bed eh....

I have one of these and I find it very inaccurate. Last Sunday I stayed the whole day in bed as I was feeling unwell, still the braclet managed to register +500 steps.

Quick question for anyone who has this. Can you set it to notify you when you receive emails, texts etc? I can see it does calls but wondering if it does anything else? My phone doesn't vibrate anymore so I'm hoping this could be a cheap way of dealing with that, rather than getting a brand new phone...

I've got the Miband 1 ... you can select 3 apps to receive notifications, thus sms/mail should be possible.

They still have not sent me one from my order 3 weeks ago. I don't know if I will ever get my miband.

You can pick up the Misfit Flash for about £20. A better buy in the long run.

I bought the Misfit Flash after losing my Miband, and while I like the product, I often have syncing issues between the Flash and my iPhone. I also notice that it does not seem to track my sleep as well as my miband used to.

they all do that sort of thing when lying idle. they work off arm movement so it's inevitable they aren't perfect at taking.

I have had the first one now for a couple of days and quite honestly just feels like a gimmick. not sure what I expected but it's a bit of a waste of time. The sleep thing is probably the most interesting but the data it gives is just a bit pointless. Good price though...^_^

Have a look at the reviews for the latest version of the app on play store. Absolutely dire and in many peoples' opinion has made the band itself useless.

Have a look at previous threads for this band, and you'll see recommendations not to download the app from the app store. Go to the Mi Band forums and download the latest version from there. First day i got mine, i used app store app, and it was awful. So i searched the forums and found there was a version on there. The download page is chinese, but just click the yellow button. Its the one i have now, its official and it works like a charm.

Worse, I heard it can also lead to being exposed to pretty broad-spectrum radiations, often of significant intensity compared to what many are used.

As I said in the previous topic, this is not the Mi Band 2, despite what Gearbest say. It's more like the Mi Band v1.1, as the only 'upgrades' are the loss of multicoloured LEDs and smaller packaging. Apparently a slightly larger battery though.
The recently-announced Mi Band 1s is the real new version, as it has a built in heart rate monitor.

wondering what ? as I sit at my computer and type it tracks steps, weirdly when I ride my harley it tracks lots of steps  and I only have it on my left arm (clutch not throttle)
It does what I need which is motivate me to move more and tracks my sleep patterns perfectly!"

indeed! I'd say they should replace the "steps" with activity points because it adds them as you move, aka do something/stay active  this would confuse less people.
