Add code EUMI4I at checkout brings the price down to £128.01, ordered one a few weeks ago when they had this promotion, came in 3 or 4 days, shipped from eu warehouse, good price for a very well made phone, with good specs for the money and with good reviews, i understand the company might not be to everyone liking.

Gearbest so autocold from me. Shocking that they're an allowed merchant on here just because they pay really good commission.

Totally, take just one look around on the web and see the horrific customer service.
In the last few days I finally got paypal to reimburse me for items gearbest refused to refund for 2 months despite them obviously not arriving.

Recently bought my ulefone touch2 from Gearbest. Good service. Gr8 fone at similar price. Paypal hit me for extra £5 though as transaction was in China. :disappointed:

A 16GB ROM phone with no sd card slot? What were they thinking...
I would avoid buying it even if it came with 32GB, but 16GB just isn't enough. It will have about 10GB free out of the box.

Using MIUI 7 on Redmi Note 2. It's the best UI I've used on a phone, ever. Tweaker's dream, looks beautiful and buttery smooth.

Whats the key difference in this and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2?
barbiegirl to united4eva
10 Nov 15#17
Note 2 is dual 4G SIM,. MicroSD, removable battery, 5.5" screen. Different SoC. So, quite a lot of differences. HTH.

"Xiaomi recently announced a 17% discount on the Mi 4 smartphone and now it seems like the China-based firm is all set to release its next-gen Mi 5 handset"
Thus the discount code.

Made 6 orders with them. 2 weren't dispatched within their estimated dispatch time of 2-3 days (actually waited nearly 2 weeks and asked for refund which they did do so fair play to them).
I bought a teclast tablet from the EU warehouse which also took nearly 2 weeks to arrive despite them saying it would take 3-5 working days, however, it was such a bargain I patiently waited. I've had to ask for a refund for a screen protector since it's unusable (sent in a flimsy, non-rigid packaging so was absolutely creased when it arrived). They've said they can only refund me to my GB wallet for future purchases which is a disappointment but considering it was a £1-odd, I've agreed to that.
To be fair, you can get absolute bargains from China but obviously there is a risk since Gearbest don't have the customer service and QA of, say, Amazon. If I see products I want at a good price in future, I'll still look to order from them, though will hope to get it from their EU warehouse rather than the lottery from China.

Yea it would be nice to have proper review, there are few people that have bought it and commented on gearbest, saying how good it is. I am thinking of ordering it but would prefer EU warehouse.

I am looking to get my kids a handset for Christmas would ppl recommend the redmi note 2
I have a G4 with cyanogen and loving it tbh
Getting the kids something slightly cheaper as they have a tendency to lose stuff
No band 20 but I won't vote since I understand O2 isn't the biggest network :P

I have this phone, got it on release from eBay for about £160.
Really pleased with it to be honest. Easily achieve a two-day battery life, the camera is good - used it for recording a 17 night cruise around the med, 16GB of internal storage is the only major shortfall in my opinion.
Lots of good ROMs released now, Mokee is especially good

Had two phones from this company. The specs are good but MIUI is pretty pathetic. In one case I was not able to use the camera at all as an update spoilt the camera with spots all around and the customer service was below par

Also keeping an eye out for a cheap(ish) phone for my eldest, was considering the Doogee X5 Pro but read of a few issues with the software and spyware etc added in from default.....cant be bothered messing with it out of the box.
Currently leaning towards a Wileyfox Swift at £129...

If you don't want spyware or import fees or worry what happens if it breaks in 4 months time then the smart ultra 6 is/was £110 at a couple of places like amazon.

Why would you get this instead of the redmi note 2 prime which is cheaper? If this is better I could cancel my previous order.. Personally I only use banggood now. Never had a problem with them and they sorted out 2 items that went faulty by just replacing them
