I wanted to wait until I received one of these myself before recommending this and now that I have, I can say for the price, they are absolutely insane. Very loud, bass is great (but not too much) and it is ideally for parties (it really is that loud). Massively out-performs speakers costing £100+.
Banggood also do British Priority Mail which for me took only 7 days to arrive (approx 5 working days).

I bought this a few months ago & think the speaker is really well designed...but I found it too loud for what I had in mind and I had some crackling when I tried to use it from about 5m away. Great little speaker for the price though.

you could just turn it down on the device you're playing the audio from? I used mine around 10m away earlier and didn't have any issues, perhaps it's an interference issue, older firmware or yours may have been faulty?

Tried that but the minimum iPad volume was still too loud...will have to see about the firmware though. I have to say I'm really impressed with the sound & the design and at this price it is a bargain.

Ahhh bizarre, the minimum setting on my phone is super quiet on it. Unfortunately I'm not sure there's a way to upgrade it, but it may just have been shipped with an older version, hard to say for sure.

Looks good. I got the power bank which is great quality, so much so I've ordered another one as a Xmas pressy. I'm going to order one, thanks.

"Very loud, bass is great" - I think not!

This does look a good speaker (I put a comment about it on another chat a couple of weeks back). £11.97 at GearBest if anyone wants to save a few pennies.
If I plugged this into a USB could I run it continuously? Need a very discrete speaker for a TV.

No it only connects via Bluetooth
Really nice speaker for the price louder than my X minis.

This brand seems to be developing a good reputation. A mate bought one of their phones which seemed superior to my Samsung for the price with very little bloatware.
I've got the Anker mini which is a great little speaker - very clear sound and no distortion although obviously it won't have the depth of other larger speakers. For this price though you can't go wrong.

Recently received mine, ordered via Gearbest for about this. It took about a month to arrive and because of the shipping method there was no tracking. If they do British Priority Mail at this price it would be a much less concerning experience. It is, though, a fantastic speaker. Agreed with other comments that it can get very loud and still sound clear. The bass is great for such a tiny speaker. The bass is strong enough that it will actually move the speaker -- which you can also see in youtube video reviews.

How does it compare with the sound output from a MacBook Pro (latest model)? I'm looking for something that's a little better that I can have lying around on the desk - but without the wires. Was considering the Bose wireless ones, but the £130+ price point is a bit much.
Would this be an improvement on the built-in macbook pro speakers?

As with so many other things in life, size is important. So the answer is that, yes, these speakers will be better. Both louder & richer.

Anybody received one yet and able to give feedback? Perhaps compared to any other Bluetooth speakers they might own?

Mine outperforms a much larger Creative one i have in the garage and is just as good if not slightly better in my opinion than the JBL Flip my friend has (he's bought the Xiaomi one too and received it and given the Flip to his gf he prefers it that much)

I don't agree with this, I have the JBL Flip 2 and the Xiaomi speaker and the Flip is clearly better. This is still excellent at the price though.

Considering it doesn't have a built in microphone, has anyone tried to make a phone call using this speaker and your phone's microphone? Is this possible? Same goes for Skype calls on a PC/laptop - is this possible? Thanks

Didn't even see anything about priority mode. I'll also give it till end of this week then I'll contact them. But how can they be contacted? Is it straight to paypal? Think that's how I paid.
The delay is now annoying, I already received email saying dispatched same week I ordered

ALWAYS use the priority mail and even order from the EU site if they have it, it'll be a couple of pound more (mine was literally £2 more) and it will arrive within 7 days. Ordering from china with standard mail can take unto 30 days, some times even more! You should always pay for a tracking number if you can too.
chrissatchell
24 Nov 15#52
Also, china website has these in stock at the moment £11.94, once you factor in priority mail (5-10 days) thats still only £13.57 so you'll get it in time for Christmas, it's delivered my Hermes once in the UK usually and the tracking number worked with them for me once they received it
