For someone just starting out and wanting to build their first pc inexpensively it's a perfect starting point. If you went down the AM1 route with it, you could build a pc for the same price as a night out.

My nights out generally cost less than £40 including a b&b (bab & booze). But us Northerners wouldn't put up with them Londinium prices.
