How much is the official UK plug/power brick? You'd be mad to use a cheap euro adapter with this in my opinion.

Before I pulled the trigger and bought an EU 'import' I was told by 'support' that the console required a special UK power supply and that the use of an adapter was not safe. They also told me that the FIFA code included would only work in the country it was purchased from. In reply to his question of where I lived, he had to clarify that Scotland was in the UK !!....needless to say I don't have a lot of faith in these 'support' forums.

Very good deal, some kids xmas will be magical :smiley:. But I'll hold off for a PS4 as I have paid the kickstarter Shenmue 3 project and I will get a copy of the game for PS4 when it is released. For now though, I am still happy with my 360, PS3 and Wii. Loads of unfinished games and I just bought Rise of the Tomb Raider for 360 which looks and plays amazingly well for such an old machine.

FYI, having just bought a console from amazon.de, your games and download codes will all be in German so there resale will be difficult, if that's what you are planning. The console box and instructions will be the same as a UK console. If you have a fee free card you will save about £8 - £10 on the sterling rate shown on Amazon. I haven't had to deal with the warranty but I have read on hear that they have had no problems dealing with Amazon for EU purchases..

The rep that told you this was misinformed. The Xbox one is region free and there's 3 warranty areas in place. America. Europe. And Asia.

Wow amazing deal about £85 worth of games at cheapest. So about £180 for the Xbox you just can't go wrong. Even the ps4 peoples got to admit its hard not to get one at this price if you haven't already. A lot of good games this xmas.

I had the same understanding till this morning and then i contacted Microsoft Support and they clarified it saying that the warranty is only valid in the country of purchase so if you buy something from another EU nation, it is only valid there.

Microsoft is not saying that there is no warranty, just that you have to send the console to where you got it from, which for me is the same as no warranty :smiley:
