If you have any amazon boxes you can make a nice hamper as those boxes the flaps fold inward neatly and are strong. If you use tape to stick the flaps down, wrap the box in christmas paper, add tissue paper to line the box and the wrap in cellophane and a ribbon it looks nicely presently though the box will not be used for other purposes after.

Waitrose in Eldon Square has these in they had the bags of straw but only about 10 bags of straw to about 50 crates so can see how people are saying they didn't get the straw. Also the crate was not as shown the sides were on an angle not straight like the pic shows. But still nice.

I've been in Home Bargains today - they are selling very similiar crates in 3 sizes, the smallest one is approx 6" x 10" (ideal size for rabbit hay rack, bought 2 for Guinea Pigs), price £2.99 which is a lot less than the fiver I paid in Store 21 for one three weeks ago. Middle size is £3.99, largest size is £4.99. I'm guessing largest one is maybe 14" x 18" but thats just a guess. Nice and strong, grey coloured, wooden.

anyone looking for something like these, b &m do a decent wicker style one which comes with hay, bow and clear plastic type wrap and a tag, £5 i think

I know some of you wouldnt be seen dead in a HomeBargains, but if you have one near you and spend a couple of pounds more, you can get one of these in a small, medium or large.



Price online is for a bulk buy of 12 but I think they're about £7 each instore for large, very good value and well made for the price.

I think these are nice for storage or a pet bed, but will cost quite a bit to use to make a hamper by the time you buy the stuff to put in the hamper, cellophane and ribbon to decorate it will all mount up. I think it would make a nice family food hamper though because you could shop around spending somewhere between £5 and £10 and it will be cheaper than individual gifts and more functional.

Had these last year also for £5, made a really nice box for a hamper. It also included some shredded paper that looked like straw
