Take it with just a little pinch of salt, real world performance figures all across the internet would be better.
They have the R9 380 and R9 285 classed as the same card, whilst in theory yes but the R9 380 is slightly faster by about 5% even more as refreshed version overclocks better, but to score it same is just lazy. It shows it 400 points less than a GTX 960 when its known that it is faster than its Nvidia equivalent.

Cheers Rev, been difficult to find a PCB image of the VTX3D online. Did see this video and couldn't see a switch in usual place either.
After one with dual bios to test some bios modding on  . I could perhaps go down the route of flash card using another card in PC if flash is bad but dual bios is just so much speedier/easier IMO.

I don't think so, looking at an image of the GPU. Unless the switch is in a difference place.

I have a 290x is this better? I see its a newer model, 300 series.
This does not even offer close to the performance of your card, it would be a major downgrade

A lot of power for the money. Couple this with AMDs budget quad core and would have a relatively cheap "console beater" as so many people seem to want.

You'd get much more out of the GPU with an Intel CPU.

You need to be cautious with AMD with low end CPUs. There has been quite a lot of performance issues related to low CPUs and AMD.
Now, I am not going to look hard and far, but the simple bit is that the CPU is a bottleneck for some AMD cards, so you may want to be cautious about looking for a budget CPU and this card.

Is this a better GPU than the GTX 750ti
I'm running an old GTX 260 in a Nvidia nforce 680i sli. Would this card be ok

what a retarded comment. the only two choices are AMD and Nvidia who both make decent hardware

gtx 770 was 110(or was it 120?) a week or 2 ago, at this point if your a desktop gamer then 2gb is the minimum buyin

Desperate for an upgrade on my old 5850. Only concerns are will my old i5 750 bottleneck this in which case its a whole new build if so id better hold off for now. Looking at min/recommended specs of recent and upcoming releases id be hesistant about a card with only 2gig vram

Overclock your CPU. get it to 3.8GHz or so and it'll still be competitive

Overclock the CPU as much as possible. AMD have issues with CPU overhead so get the most out of the CPU.

Yep, the benchmarks Passmark use heavily favour nvidia for graphics and AMD for CPUs. It's not a great site tbh. Better to just look up benchmarks with the hardware you want in the games you're gonna be playing with it.
