Best (arguably) 5.5" budget UK supplied and warrantied phone around at the moment. Will almost certainly be running 5.02 (not 5.1 as per specs).
Bought one from Vodafone just after release, happy with the phone though I wouldn't buy from Vodafone again if my life depended on it. :)

Which is great if you need one now, I'd wait for Amazon as their CS is trouble free IME.

That depends on your definition of better. You won't find a cheaper 5.5" FHD UK supplied and warrantied Android phone.

Just a comment about the lack of future upgrades for this phone ...
I just upgraded my Nexus 7 to Marshmallow (Android 6.0). After playing with it for ten minutes, I came to the conclusion that it was virtually indistinguishable from Lollipop. It could be just me but subjectively, the upgrade feels a bit slower too.
Glad I opted for the £99 SU6 now rather than the upgradable, but lesser and more expensive Moto G 3rd Gen.

I think you will get better run for your money with redmi note 2 32gb. it runs really fast and price about £5-10 more than this

People referring to the camera being slow / poor etc, the inbuilt camera app really lets the camera side of the phone down.. strongly suggest downloading the free version of ' A Better Camera' from Playstore.. all your problems will disappear after using this!!!.

it does lag every now and then leaving you wondering why your button press has done nothing so you press again then it goes some where else because it finally changes. Can't leave it on the side as the speaker gets covered so you can't hear it very well. pin code unlock has glitched since update can enter loads of numbers instead of giving up when entered wrong so you have to delete it and start again just annoys me as I always type it fast and wrong. time and date bug when restarting sets it to 1970. camera is rubbish always blurry but when not produces a descent picture auto focus is useless. desperately needs the update to 5.1 as long as it is made well. I wanted a 5.5" screen but cheap and snapdragon so gave this a go but keep looking at the galaxy 6 edge plus and iPhone 6s plus but hoping the update will come along if it does the phone is good enough for what I need but without the update it is slightly infuriating at times. screen is amazing but have read different panels are coming in phones that are cooler or yellow tinted which people don't like

I concur, this is a great phone and cannot be beaten for value. I also strongly advise not to deal with Vodafone - buy from amazon if possible.

Appalling customer service from Vodafone. Even emailed CEOs office and clearly they do not care about keeping customers happy. Probably a good buy but would highly recommend avoiding buying from Vodafone directly.

A massively well known memory leak bug which wasn't addressed until 5.1.1. They had five goes at Lollipop (5.0, 5.0.1, 5.0.2, 5.1 and then 5.1.1), and each one suffered the bug until 5.1.1.
CrispEditor

which memory leak bug? (now off to google). Doesnt affect me. are you referring to "free" memory or process sizes?
(just googled. *That* one - the 5.1 off-screen-not-freeing-resources bug I presume; dont suffer that).

One major glitch with 5.0.2 is you cannot turn off miracast as I have discovered so cannot watch sky go as Sky will not allow any of its content played on a device with cast enabled.

What are the chances of this getting an upgrade to Android 6 Marshmallow? Shipping phones with 5.0.1 is pretty poor and lazy.

I'd say zero. Unless, they decide to market it in different colours which was briefly discussed due to the popularity. I can't see that happening though. For the money, you can't beat this phone though. I've personally not suffered any stuttering (had it two months) Screen is beyond gorgeous for this price. Camera is poor in anything other than daylight though, so keep that in mind. But then also remember youd buy a camera alone for more than this costs. It's speedy and the battery life on it for me is amazing. I've gone from charging my nexus 4 every night after 3 hours screen time to charging this every 2 and half days averaging around 3.5 hours screen time a day. Games run smooth and snappy. Despite negative comments about the speaker, I've found it to be on par with my nexus 4 so i can't compare to the newer phones, but watching video and is excellent. I have google now turned off to help conserve battery. But still, I've not had this much out of a phone battery wise since I had a Nokia 3310!

5.0.2 is a hideous mobile OS. Anything less than 5.1.1 is rotten to the core. Lollipop is one of the worst mobile OS releases in quite some time.

Agreed, I've posted it a few times but there's a really annoying bug with spell check not allowing you to make any choices.
The camera is mediocre at best too.
Screen is lovely for watching videos but not sure if that should be the selling point of a phone.

why is 5.0.2 hideous and why is 5.1.1 better? I preferred 4.3 and 4.4 and still do.

Root gains access to various system managed Apps which can not be removed. Root also gains access to system settings including but not exclusively things like clock speeds etc.

Not a bad device for the money. Fairly simple to root with Kingoroot and then install SuperSU. All of the bloat is then easy to remove leaving a fairly stock vanilla Rom with reasonable specs on board. Only issue thus far is unlocking the Bootloader which is normally a pain on ZTE built devices.

Bought this phone when it was £99. No probs so far. The only thing I wish was better was the camera zoom performance while taking videos. Normal & 2X are very good. 3X is not great. 4X is very poor with everything looking 'blocky'.

I didn't rate the camera at all which is usually the case on cheap phones. Took the same picture side by side with an iPhone 6 and the iPhone was far superior. The colours were off and when enlarging the photo, the picture was very blocky.

I can highly recommend this, it is a dropper step up from the Moto G in terms of speed, RAM, flash, size and resolution. My only worry is whether is ever going to an upgrade. 5.1 is in the works, it seems, but of course it is already late.

Mines been great but has unfortunately developed some broken pixels so I'll need to try return it for a warranty repair. I'm hoping Vodafone won't cause too many problems and just repair or replace.
