My daughter has just come back from Venice and the weather there was warm enough for t shirts. It was just amazing there and they loved every min of the time they were there

Tried to call the agent twice and no one bother to answer the phone. Wasted my 20 minutes.

Poor review of the agent handling this deal. They are called Broadway travel.

I have never dealt with them, but average rating of 4.4 out of 5 looks very decent to me
We used Broadway travel to go to Prague last year. Arrived at the airport at 2am and the taxi we had previously booked through Broadway Travel never materialised. We shared an airport taxi with another couple who had also booked a taxi through Broadway Travel and theirs never turned up either. If they don't pick up the phone when you're trying to book imagine how they behave when you try to complain. They were a disgrace!

I have done this deal with Broadway.
It's ok, nothing special, but you need to factor in the cost of the water bus everyday to Venice from the Lido.
Personally I now prefer staying in Venice itself.

Much better value to buy a travelcard, three day one means you can explore to your heart's content.

Venice is a dump, the whole place could do with a coat of paint. As everything arrives by boat , all
Shops goods are handled three times and hence everything you buy is three times the price!
If still you want to go there then this a cheap price and take up the Gondela ride offer as they will put about 6 or more people in each punt. If you want to hire a Gondela yourself as a couple the man with the pole will charge £75 for that alone. In the square expect to pay £5 for a cup of coffee!

It's a fabulous place to visit. St Mark's Square is a famous tourist trap, don't spend any money there.
5/10 minute walk away you can have fabulous food for very reasonable prices and ice creams and prosecco for €1 or €2.

Beautiful place, went for first time last month. Avoid eating at St Marks square and a meal for two can be had for £30 plus drinks. Buy the water taxi card for the day and travel just before sunset to get some great pictures on the canal. Would love to go back in a year or two.

Quite
But it is a further 40 euros each for a 3 day card.
That would go to a better hotel in Venice itself.
Plus you can only get to the Lido by water from the airport. That's pricey. I now get the bus to Piazza Roma for a few euros.

We booked this tonight, fab deal! Going Friday-Monday in January! Cost £278 for both of us flying from Southend, could have paid less if we went during week but have used up all my annual leave! It's gonna be chilly so will wrap up warm! We did this deal in 2011, same hotel & loved it! Went back the following year & got engaged!! It's a beautiful place & loved hoping on & off the water buses! Broadway Travel are very good, we've had minor problems in the past, which they've always rectified! Theres nothing to not like in Venice! The Lido is fab! Happy memories & more to make!!

Venice is lovely but avoid going there anywhere near summer as it stinks

Well, it was 15 degrees in Birmingham today - but I wouldn't predict same even next week!

Don't get me wrong, I have had a good time in those cities, but Manchester's canals are not a patch on Venice's. Get out of the North once in a while.

Fair point, the travelcard seems to have risen in price quite significantly since I went 2 years ago. I would still recommend one though.

Nope nearly all the buildings are rendered and up close nearly all the buildings have the paint pealing off them and look like it has not been decorated in a 100 years. Considering it is supoosed to be a tourist trap, the place lacks places to sit (there are streets you know , it is not all water), lack of public loos and in hot summer I dont know where there sewage system is supposed to go but it smells like it goes straight into the water ways and the quay side as evidenced by all the flies!
From the Gondolas to the waiters I was not impressed with their attitude either, the whole experience appears to be lets see how much we can rip the tourists off for.
